We were kindly received and allowed with no fuss to check in early. It was local to where we needed to be and do perfect for us. We liked the balcony that you could see the sunset from. The 24 hr reception was very helpful if we needed anything. The tour operator picked us up at the hotel so that was wonderful and there was a shop for groceries really close by. Easy to walk from.

The hotel excided our expectations! Easy to get with the codes for access. They just sent us two codes - from the front door and from our apartment. Right in the center of the city. Ultra modern, spotlessly clean, very comfortable. We had a big room with fully equipped kitchen and a bedroom. There are air conditioners, TVs, fridge, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, stove and even dish washer! Great bathroom, lots of extra towels. It's a great choice for stop when traveling around Portugal.

The accommodation is in a great location, spotlessly clean and is a great sized room with a king size bed and large ensuite shower room and small but private balcony and is on the ground floor with only five steps to get to the room which was great as my husband has recently suffered a stroke and is partially paralysed. The hosts are fantastic and extremely helpful. They are local and very easy to contact if necessary. The accommodation is very safe with an outer security door plus a further 3 internal security doors to get to your room. Felt very safe and using keypad rather than keys was great.

Absolutely loved my stay! This apartment is truly a gem. Everything is brand new and beautifully designed. The modern kitchen is a dream to work in if you need to cook a meal and the bedroom is equally stunning with its modern aesthetic. The private bedroom with the comfortable bed and excellent wardrobe was a dream, and the separate bathroom and toilet were a lifesaver! The open plan second bedroom/ living area is a brilliant addition if your a family with 2 children or a couple sharing the apartment with guests and need privacy. The second bed space is wonderfully versatile, easily accommodating one person, or two people by extending the single bed (cascade effect - two single beds). The separate bathroom and toilet are a really thoughtful touch as well as convenient when sharing with others. The shower was excellent, and all fixtures were top-notch! Beyond the beautiful space itself, the host was exceptional. From day one, communication was prompt and helpful, and Carla was clearly dedicated to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. I truly felt blessed to be staying in such a brand new and thoughtfully created apartment. I felt right at home in this brand new and well-equipped apartment and highly recommend if your looking for a stylish and convenient base.

I did not have a chance to see much in Castelo Branco thanks to the heatwave (above 40 degrees celcius), but from tourist guides and from what I heard it is worth visiting when the weather is a lot cooler in the future.

A lovely town ...local and friendly.

A lovely town ...local and friendly. A number of bars and restaurants dotted around and a nice evening walk around the old streets. Not much to do other than eat and drink, so don't expect too much...enjoy the quiet.

It's a city, the parts I saw where not very different than a...

It's a city, the parts I saw where not very different than a general city. Coimbra was really a very beautiful, green and architectural city. Here I've seen flats, long roads, not much outstanding different. Lots of shops but I would not sty here for a few days to visit the city.

Castelo Branco has grown over the last couple of years,...

Castelo Branco has grown over the last couple of years, would have loved to explore for another day or two. That being said, the city center has been nicely upgraded with the large square between the former barracks and the Defesa area. Pity that the former swimming pool just under the Castelo has fallen into decay to be substituted by a new swimming pool in the direction of the industrial area, which I hear is a popular venue.

It was very noisy caused by other guests the radio was constantly on in the bedroom even though you could not switch it off I had to go down to reception and get them to turn it off from their office also I only noticed after I left and got to my next hotel that pot of face cream I use which was a brand-new pot and hardly used and still full was empty obviously they had stolen the contents and replaced it with something else which didn’t smell nothing like what was in the pot of cream before I am absolutely disgusted If I’d known they were going to steal from me like that I certainly would have not left the money as a tip on the side and also I would most definitely lock my stuff up everything other than that the food was delicious and the staff were excellent even understanding my English

Spacious bedroom and very spacious bathroom with an amazing walk in shower. Good water pressure and temperature. The air conditioning worked pretty well heating up the bedroom. The bed is confortable. Everything was clean, we didn't notice anything wrong. The room also had a nice desk. The hotel location was almost perfect, nearby a Lidl(supermarket) and a few minutes walking from the city center. There is a parking lot almost private for guests right next to the hotel.

Love this hotel, have stayed here many times and will definitely be back. Great location for exploring castelo branco and wider area. Walking distance in to town. Stunning views from front of hotel. Lovely indoor pool and gym which is fully kitted out with modern equipment. Great breakfast. Super clean throughout. Appreciated having a kettle in the room this visit. Good car parking. Noticed new electric car charging points on site.

How this can carry a classification as “Boutique Hotel” is a mystery to me. I would rather call it a hostal. Room was old, items were broken, sink drained poorly, opening the window for fresh air was problematic. Despite being the only couple apart from another couple we were forced to wait until almost 15h00 before we could get to our room. Despite this the cleanliness of the hostal was questionable.
