The room was very clean, there was a king size bed. The breakfast was amazing, a lot of things to choose from (scrambled eggs, hot dogs, toast, bread, jam, butter, hummus, pastry, fruit, yogurt and so on). We booked our Benagil cave tour at the reception and we had a blast. Private parking space is really big, distance to city center is 5 min by car.

It was the perfect place to explore the Algarve! Placid Village is a complex of several houses situated on a small hill, a swimming pool, a tennis court and parking spaces. In our apartment we had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room with a kitchenette and a large balcony. The apartment was well-equipped. We could cook freely in the kitchen, we had a stove, oven, microwave, kettle and all kitchen utensils. There was also a washing machine in the bathroom. The rooms were air conditioned. We felt like at home there. The staff was helpfull and friendly. Next to reception is also a snacbar.The center of Carvoeiro is a 20-minute walk away. I highly recommend it, the best place!

Carvoeiro is a great place to use as a base camp, especially for families looking to see the area. The boardwalk is awesome and we explored the caves and jumped from one of the cliffs. We went on the sunrise kayak tour from Carvahlo beach to see Benagil cave, which was amazing and ended up spending the whole day at Carvahlo Beach. Silvas is close by and worth a day trip as well.

We've been to Carvoeiro before, 20 years ago.

We've been to Carvoeiro before, 20 years ago. It still has plenty of bars and restaurants. We recommend Brady's Bar, Villa Medici and O Catinho. The town is not overly noisy at night. Beaches: Town beach is busy. There are coves within walking distance in both directions along the shore which offer secluded beaches, some only usable at low tide. Praia Paradiso is now closed due to danger of rock falls. Seaweed can be an issue on some days. Recommend Praia Vale Centeanes (O-Stop restaurant). A must-do trip is the Carvoeiro Tours trip to the Benagil caves. They use boats small enough to enter every cave between Carvoeiro and Benagil.

Used to visit Carvoeiro regularly but havent been for about eight years and it’s much the same. The people in restaurants and bars were all very friendly and we welcomed that many catered fir gluten free as one of our party is gluten intolerant.

We really enjoyed our relaxing stay in Carvoeiro.

We really enjoyed our relaxing stay in Carvoeiro. It wasn’t too busy & we had some good meals there. It was very family friendly & we can walk to restaurants, shops, beach & the neat boardwalk. Every night there was free music by the beach & everyone was dancing & having a fun time.

Amazing accommodation in a beautiful, large resort. We stayed in a villa near the pool. The hotel offers an Italian restaurant, which we didn’t try, but it looked gorgeous. The breakfast was perfect, absolutely fantastic. The staff that served us in the bar that evening were wonderful, friendly and helpful. We were very satisfied and will definitely choose your hotel for our next stay in Portugal.

Great staff, who were really helpful & spoke excellent English. The place was very clean & with good facilities. It is in a quiet & peaceful location, but only a 15 minute walk to the centre of town & 5 minutes to the nearest shop & restaurant. It is only ¢4 in a taxi to the centre of Carvoeiro if you don't want to walk.

Spacious apartment with a beautiful sea view. A relatively calm area and we could always find places at the pool. And most importantly for a place like Carvoeiro: available parking space. It is also quite close to the centre and the beach. Just coming back is a bit of a hike, especially in the sun.

Lovely large room on the ground floor with a huge dual level terrace overlooking Carvoeiro bay. O Castelo was a few minutes walk from the village centre but it was down a steep slope with steps. I have limited mobility and struggle with hills and steps so it was difficult for me.
