We liked being in the beautiful town of Penafiel to visit our relatives. I liked the hotel, pool and staff. It was interesting that different football teams came to stay. Being from the UK it was good that we had parking available too.

The owner is such a kind lady, very helpful. Large room and bathroom. Lovely small swimming pool. Ideally a place for road trips, in the countryside nearby Porto, but also not far from Braga, Giuimaraes,Douro valley.

A truly luxurious villa with a warm, spotless pool and plenty of sun loungers. The garden is beautifully maintained, and the entire property feels elegant and thoughtfully designed. The villa itself is spacious, tastefully furnished, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We loved the sense of privacy — the property is fully enclosed and feels very peaceful. There’s also a billiards table and a large, fully equipped kitchen available for guests. Breakfast was a highlight: everything was fresh and local — including eggs from the villa’s own chickens. It was genuinely delicious. The setting is calm, surrounded by the sounds of nature and animals. Although the villa is located a bit outside of Porto, it’s easy and quick to reach the city by car.

I and my friend recently had the pleasure of staying in a room at this hotel and I have to say, it was a truly magical experience. The room itself was absolutely stunning, with beautiful period features and luxurious furnishings that really made me feel like royalty. The attention to detail was impeccable, and every aspect of the room was designed to create a truly immersive and unforgettable experience. But what really stood out to me were the hosts - they were some of the coolest people I've ever met! They were so friendly and engaging, and they really went out of their way to make me feel at home. If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable experience, then this is the place to be. The staff are all amazing, the room is absolutely stunning, and the hosts are some of the coolest people you'll ever meet. We'll definitely be coming back!
