This is a lovely hotel with modern rooms. The room was a good size, breakfast every morning was good and it was very clean. The staff was very helpful. I wanted to have a birthday celebration for my sister but all the event rooms at the hotel were fully booked. They recommended a restaurant just across from the hotel, unfortunately I forgot the name. The restaurant was lovely and they were very helpful and accommodating. We had a lovely party.

The two tourist information centers both just steps away...

The two tourist information centers both just steps away from the Kraków gate (one inside the old town and one just outside) were remarkably helpful and informative. The Holy Trinity Chapel with its priceless early 15th c. Rutheno-Byzantine polychrome frescoes is not to be missed. Nor is the permanent Tamara Lempicka exhibition (with her famous "Self-portrait in a Green Bugatti"), both in Lublin castle. Nor should any thinking/feeling human being fail to experience of the Majdanek concentration camp--allow at least two hours but one could easily take four in order to really allow the enormity of what took place there to sink in and to honor that. Walk the entire camp, do not take a bus through it. Overall, Lublin is a thoroughly entrancing destination, rich in history. Be sure to experience Mandragora, a superb Jewish restaurant on Rynek Square (as if one had been invited into the happier time of a pre-war Jewish home). Anabilis is a great stop for pastry & coffee right next to the Kraków gate.

A great little place for a city break.

A great little place for a city break. Not many tourists which made a change. The old town was lovely and we enjoyed finding the goat statues all over the city (https://lublininfo.com/en/co-robic/szlaki-turystyczne/historic-trail-of-the-lublin-goat/). Whilst here you should visit the state museum at Majdanek, a former concentration camp. A very thought provoking experience.

Lublin is still quite underrated city.

Lublin is still quite underrated city. It has quite pretty Old Town, renovated not so long ago. A couple of intersting churches, an amazing old yeshiva building, interesting castle with good exhibitions in the museum and interesting okd brewery with tours, great open air museum and a lovely park (Park Saski). There is also a lot going on culturally throghout the year (various festivals) so it is dednitely worth a 2-3 days visit.

You must go to the Tourist office first thing and get info...

You must go to the Tourist office first thing and get info on the sites. Sign up for walking tour immediately. Go to Lublin Castle. Download app and put in your Bluetooth devices and be guided throughout the museum. The Holy Chapel is the best. Breathtaking. Walk to the top of the watch tower. Walk to the top of the clock tower. Great panoramic views. Have dinner at Mandragora Jewish restaurant where A Real Pain was filmed. Food is outstanding. Huge garden in back. Don’t sit out front. Sit in garden. That was my best meal. Many pizza places. Wonderful wine, cheese place. Close to my hotel. Avatary Miasta Hotel.

Lublin is a great town with lot of beautiful places to visit. Worth travelling to for vacation. Good food, place and helpful people. A town with traditional buildings and a great history to be raveled and listen. Old Town, Shopping malls, Zabka, Burger King, Castle and Trybunalska City Pub. Only 2 hours drive from Warsaw.

Whenever I come to Lublin I stay at Piano hotel, breakfast was excellent despite low occupational rate during Easter time. If you come by car than you can easily park your car at the parking.
