Front desk staff - Special outstanding staff (*Julita* I was surprised that I saw her wore a trainee name brand). I knew this only at the checked out time because I asked her name in order to specially heartfelt thanks for her professionalism. - She helped me to cancel an appointment at a beauty salon because my daughter was sick. In addition, very helpful for all information I asked for her. Moreover, she helped me to extend a late check out until 14:00 because the airport taxi would pick us up in the hotel at around 14:30. The extended 2 hours late check out was charged 50 Polish dollars, which was around 12 euro. Housekeeping staff - Polite & Efficiency !!! I merely asked one time housekeeping during our 6 nights stay because we supports ECO. - Two Asian face housekeeping were very polite & efficiency, I thanks both of them a Vegan Chocolate Bar. The swimming pool staff - Polite & Helpful !!! We spend 4 times during our 6 nights stay in the swimming pool, spa, bubbles pool & sauna. This is the BEST relaxing area in AC Marriott Karków. I for sure will come back the same hotel if I visit Kraków again in the future.

A beautiful city in any season.

A beautiful city in any season. The Christmas markets were such fun to walk around, although it was an extremely cold day. The cloth market is exceptionally beautiful with amber jewellery set out in very artistic displays. We had a lovely meal at a Thai Restaurant and have been there before. There is a multitude of places to eat, traditional or not. You would never be disappointed. Trams were cheap and plentiful, but if you need help to ascend a tram or bus, don't take a stop in the middle of the road. Go for a roadside stop. You can buy tickets for a full day of travel. We have visited Auschwitz Camp, as everyone should! The salt mines are said to be spectacular but there's too much walking for us. Zakpana is a beautiful place up in the mountains - drive there and take a cable car further up. The Jewish quarter is very atmospheric, with a lovely ambience around the eating places. Take a ride on a 'cart' and have a guided tour of the city, finding out about the history of the 'final solution' in Poland - the ghetto walls, the town square full of chairs, the beautiful synagogues, the quaint little Artizan shops. Visit the Tram museum, but it's not open on Mondays! Take a walk along the banks of the Vistula River, or a boatride There's a small science park for children, with interactive displays, and an Arboretum with some very unusual trees.

The history and architecture.

The history and architecture. The season was perfect as the Christmas lights and atmosphere added to our amazing break. I would recommend booking tours well in advance as we tried to book some 2 weeks before going and they were full. We visited Schindlers museum, Zakopane & hot spring tour. We also did the Krakow Old Town & Wawel castle walking tour along with the Jewish Quarter & former Ghetto Tour. The Christmas markets were lovely and Polish food is delicious. We cannot wait to revist Krakow!

We had a lovely four night “Twixmas” break in Krakow, staying with two sons; a teenager and one in his early 20s. There was lots to do in and near the city - more than we had time for. Do a walking tour to get a good overview of the city and its history. The Christmas markets were still going and were lovely but expensive. Krakow is clean and safe and obviously geared up for tourists.

Auschwitz-Birkenau guided tour was excellent.

Auschwitz-Birkenau guided tour was excellent. Salt Mines tour also great. Rynek Underground Museum interesting. Christmas Markets were a nice addition. Food in Poland - delicious. Loved the pierogies. LOADS of bars/restaurants to choose from. Can get round on foot very easily. Uber taxis also plentiful and reasonably priced. Fab restaurants: Morskie Oko (traditional music played by live musicians) - get there early or book a table - very popular and they have people queueing outside! Zalewajka also amazing food. We ate there twice. Lovely modern atmosphere but still traditional Polish food. Slightly more of a ‘fine dining’ feel but most customers were in jeans and jumpers, so comes without the stiffness/snootiness. And the food is VERY reasonably priced. We thought the bill was wrong at first because the food was incredible and it cost much less than we expected overall. If wanting to go to Schindler’s Factory, book well in advance. Having already booked guided tours for Auschwitz and the Salt Mines (separate days), I was too late trying to book for the factory and couldn’t find any availability for my chosen date. We therefore turned up on Monday morning, 30 mins after it opened, as it said on their website that you could turn up for ‘free admission’ tickets. It turns out that hundreds (yes, hundreds) of other people had the same idea, and we queued for 1 hour, 15 minutes before giving up (judging by the size of the remaining queue in front of us, we would have easily been queueing for almost another two hours). It was too cold, so we gave up. One regret of our trip was not booking this well in advance. Overall, we would return to Krakow without a doubt. PURO Hotel in Kazimierz was excellent.

We went for 3 nights for the Christmas market and this was the perfect length of time to see all the various markets. If you also want day trips to Zakopane, the Salt Mines or to visit Auschwitz then I would add a few more days. Lots of great restaurants in Krakow - many serving traditional Polish food - although the Christmas markets have lots of great choice too. Krakow is a great city with lots to see and do. I've been before and I'll definitely be back again!

Krakow is a beautiful, atmospheric city that combines rich history, impressive architecture and a very pleasant, walkable urban feel. The Old Town, with the Main Market Square and Wawel Castle, is especially striking, full of churches, cafés and street life. The former Jewish quarter, Kazimierz, adds a different layer of culture, memory and nightlife, with synagogues, cathedrals, small galleries and excellent restaurants and bars.

It was easy to get into the apartment using the instructions provided. It was absolutely spotless on arrival. The location was fantastic, there are shops nearby for essentials and plenty of restaurants around. It is just a short 5-10 minute walk to the main square, and it is very easy to walk to all the main locations around Krakow city centre. Everything needed was provided. The apartment was warm on arrival, and the heating was easily managed. The host was very responsive when I had to contact them about something.

This is our second time at this hotel, and it has been as good as the last time. The location is excellent, as the hotel is only 10-15 minutes away from the city centre by tram. The staff are very helpful; this time, they let us check in 1 hour early with no charge. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious, with a great choice of foods. If we come to Krakow again, we will most likely stay here

The hotel itself is amazing. The staff were very friendly upon arrival, and this continued throughout our entire stay. The room we had was amazing with a balcony, which would be amazing in the summer time! The hotel is located outside of Krakow city centre, however I preferred this, as you were away from all the noise, plus the trams come every 5-10 minutes and are very cheap. I'd highly recommend this hotel!

The breakfast room was bright and welcoming, and the breakfast choice was broad and good value for money. We cou;d not find any reference to a fridge in the room description on line and thought that might be why the Old Town hotel was rated 3* as opposed to the City Centre Leonardo. So we were surprised and pleased to see that there was one.
