A nice cozy place situated right next to a small lake. Everything was clean and tidy. Parking on the street in front of the house if free - in case you come by car. The owner was really friendly and lovely. We only stayed for a night but apparently there are a lot of activities available if you stay longer.

Elk is a very nice town to visit and walk around, a trip to...

Elk is a very nice town to visit and walk around, a trip to the waterfront on the lake during the summer months is a must! It has a beautiful view but an abundance of bars on the waterfront also. Most of the bartenders and serving staff speak decent English, to get thru the language barrier for you to order a drink or food. I would recommend carrying local currency to pay for things instead of using your cards everywhere.

The hotel is absolutely good value for the money. The hotel itself is old and old-fashioned, the building his far to big for its purpose. The hotel owner obviously shows great effort to keep it in a good shape. The restaurant had one menu they served that evening, which means, it is freshly cooked by them selves. It was delicious homestyle cooking! The breakfast can't hardly be beaten! I habe really seen a bigger choice of delicious items!
