Never have i ever been ao well treated by staff while traveling. Mico made sure we had everything we needed. When i forgot my charger he even drove to the airport to give it back. 10/10 The apartment is also excellent. Very spacious and everything is clean. You get a lot for the money.

I liked everything about the place. The owner and staff are very helpful and responsive. Guests should be aware that the location is quite some distance from the city centre. However, several transport options are available at various price points. I would gladly stay here again in future visits to Surigao.

Nothing much but surfing. Some popular restaurants are hype.

Nothing much but surfing. Some popular restaurants are hype. The French bakery near the Surf area serves really really good breadz croissants, sourdough and other food. The burger place we went to is much much better than shake shack. The coffee place we tried serves much much better coffee than starbucks and zus.

Surigao is recovering from damage caused by typhoon Odette.

Surigao is recovering from damage caused by typhoon Odette. I suggest waiting a year or so before visiting here. It was rainy and windy during our visit so not fair to comment. Did not feel safe to walk around at night. We observed many blatant drug users along the Seawall opposite our hotel.

The hotel is quite nice from inside, but would need some renovation at the front side. The room was OK. It had a balcony, but it was the only balcony on my trip where it is not allowed to smoke. I was allowed to check in early. This is the reason why I rated it one point higher than intended. There are a lot of restaurants close by. It is in walking distance to the port.

The location is walking distance to the port. It's convenient if you're travelling from Surigao City to Dapa (Siargao). Oh, and they provide free toiletries, wifi is good, there are lots of canteens in the neighborhood.

The Barnhaus is secluded and serene. Great for a weekend getaway. We contacted them for a private boat from Surigao City port. The facilities were superb and tidy, complete with a kitchen, beddings and towels.
