The room was very comfortable, spacious and cozy with a dining table and two chairs, private bathroom with shower. The room was quite cold, but there were warm blankets. The only serious disadvantage is the lack of mosquito nets and despite of the cold weather there are plenty of mosquitos. Breakfast is scrambled eggs with tea, jam, mango juice and coffee americano. There is free parking available and tea and coffee at reception as a compliment to hotel guests.

Everything! It was really ideal, especially after strenuous treks.The owner couple is really endearing and listens to your wishes: they get up to prepare a full Americano breakfast with fresh Peruvian fruits at 5:45 a.m. to allow you to take the first transport to the terminal.They offered me a warmer room because it was exposed to the sun and quieter on the garden side, in addition to a hot water bottle to warm my feet.They also love to travel and are very curious about all countries.

A small, rather deserted village out of season.

A small, rather deserted village out of season. Not a single café or restaurant open. Only stray dogs. However, in the morning the square comes alive to welcome the tour buses… If I were to do it again, I would have chosen to stay in Chivay, much nicer.

The parade ground and the church. A quiet little village. A very simple little café with just one table for two on the sidewalk, perfect for watching the sunset over the square, beautiful view, and delicious red berry waffles. Calm and peaceful.

It's a town where people don't linger.

It's a town where people don't linger. And it has a lot to offer. A visit to the Chimpa Fortress can be arranged from there. The Uyo Uyo Fortress is within walking distance of the town. There are beautiful views of the Colca River, the Chifón Bridge... A very peaceful town with a lovely church. It has a museum that hasn't reopened since the pandemic.

I enjoyed it and everything was perfect. I'm 61 years old, and so is my partner. We had a wonderful time, and the service was excellent. I would have loved to upload photos, but I'm not very tech-savvy when it comes to using my phone. Believe me, come and you'll want to stay and/or return again and again.

We loved the attentiveness of the staff. Everybody was so helpful! The food in the restaurant was amazingly good. Very good chef. Location perfect, although not in the city centre of Yanque easily reachable by taxi. But the staff made the stay absolutely worthwhile!
