Way exceeded our expectations, and it’s an excellent value. Rooms were impeccable, large, and very comfortable. The property is very well kept up and beautifully landscaped, has great views, and a great place for families to explore. Nice gym and good breakfast were both really appreciated as well. The best way for not getting soroche or altitude sickness is to drive straight from the airport to the Sacred Valley and stay there at least the first 3 days of your stay in Cusco. This is the best way to get your body used to such a high altitude and avoid getting sick. Urubamba has great restaurants and hotels all around, so there’s plenty of choices for lunch and dinner. The weather is much warmer and nicer than Cusco and it’s a great hub for visiting the ruins around the place.

Urubamba is the perfect base from which to explore the Sacred Valley. It's also a quieter, less overtouristed alternative to Cuzco. Visitors can walk clear across town without being stopped by touts every few steps, but getting to Ollantaytambo, Moray and Maras is a breeze (and cheap). The town also has plenty of great dining options, all for much less than you'd pay in Cuzco, and it's perfect for people watching. It may seem a bit rough around the edges at first but within a day you'll find it comfortable and even homey.

We had been there for work and looked for a peaceful place to spend the night, which we found. I know Urubamba, since I live in the Sacred Valley. Nice little town, where you find everything, you need for a short or long stay.

I liked staying here. Great food. Some good local sights.
I liked staying here. Great food. Some good local sights. Easy access to both Pisac and Ollantaytambo. It's a little less quaint than those other two tourist hot spots, but I preferred that Urubamba was a real city, with less domination from tourists. It is more centrally located than the other two, making it easier to get to them both. Really enjoyed my stay.
Sol y Luna is a magical place offering luxurious accommodation with special touches everywhere the eye can see. The whimsical artwork is delightful. The casitas are designed for the ultimate in relaxation. The staff is extraordinarily helpful. The food was top notch including the breakfast which is important to me. The pool area is stunning as is the stable and performance area for the horses.
I can not express adequately what a rare gem I find this hotel to be. I hope to return some day. It is my new favorite small, luxury hotel.
We had a absolutely fantastic night in this beautiful resort. The location with the surrounding mountains is magical and the gardens within the resorts are equally beautiful. I was stunned by the evening beauty of the place. The staff took very good care of us and were very kind! Breakfast buffé was excellent, with a great variation. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated and with big windows. It felt very luxurious. I really wish we had time to stay longer since this was by far the nicest place we stayed at in Peru.
The location is very good,
All the services are accurate and well organized.
Great the presence of small square gardens which offer to the guests the possibility to find exclusive and quite angles very well spread out all around the hotel structure.
The room 308 certainly nice as its position within the hotel which is very reach of green and flowers.
The presence of the Chapel is a real plus.
The staff is very nice and helpful.
Everything is good except for what stated below.
This was an incredibly beautiful resort, tucked away in sacred valley with so much magic available in one place that you can almost be convinced to skip exploring the land outside of the gate! The food was probably the best we had during our stay in Peru. The spa was incredible and the staff was super friendly. We will definitely be back!
This place was beyond my wildest dreams. So so so good. It makes you feel so peaceful! The interiors, the garden, the food, the fire under the stars, all amazing. It felt like staying in paradise. The bed was so comfortable! The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel. I wish I could have stayed at least a week.
We stayed in this hotel for a week, and enjoyed every minute of it. The rooms are very clean and cozy, beds were perfect. Breakfast is great with lots of stuff. We especially liked the tea station offering local herbs.
Also, 4 cute baby alpacas are visiting the area every day to polish the ideal Andean landscape.
It's an absolutely beautiful and relaxing place. So many thoughtful touches, from the decor to the alpacas to the landscaping and activities. The rooms are large, comfortable, and spotless. Breakfast is very good. Setting along the river is exquisite. I really fell in love with this hotel.
The staff was amazing and always helpful. Ana Maria, Veronica and Nancy, along with the driver, Mario, were available and so very friendly. The hotel is beautiful and was so quiet and enjoyable in every way. We were sad to leave...it was a great experience.
Local hotel ran by the founding family. the staff is super kind and worries about the guest having a wonderful experience not only at the hotel but in Cuzco overall. great food and nice, clean spacious bedrooms.
Lots of activities planned within the hotel.
Beautiful garden, big comfortable beds and large rooms, very nice, friendly and efficient staff at the reception and shop. It's walkable to the city center and only takes 2 Soles for 2 people to go back from the hotel in case too tired to walk.
Our host was so accommodating and really friendly. A lovely hot shower with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is lovely and staying in the scared valley is a must if you are traveling around Peru. We really enjoyed our stay here.
The exteriors are beautiful and it only has 17 rooms, so it is very quiet. Walking around you feel you are in a small village. The hotel manager went out of his way to attend to my special requests. Excellent value!
