The lodgings were finished to an exceptional standard. We received a cheap upgrade and were picked up from the town square, the staff were fantastic. The views were outstanding, as you would expect. The food, although limited in options, was delicious. I cannot fault anything about this place which is why I have to give it a perfect rating.

We loved every minute of our stay here… incredible views, beautiful surroundings, cosy cabins & attentive staff. We dined in the restaurant 2 nights and enjoyed fabulous meals. Lots of great options for breakfast also! The hotel is able to organise shuttles to and from the town.

Alex (the owner) is one of the friendliest people we have ever met! He was very helpful with recommendations and assisted with a cab to the hummingbird garden nearby (must visit!). The place itself is very cozy and conviniently located - the train station and ruins are in a walking distance and you don't have to walk on a busy road. It can be can cold at nights, but there are lots of blankets to deal with this problem, as well as really hot water in the shower.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! From the beginning, the staff were very responsive and helpful with all our questions. The room was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed, especially the heater, which made it extra comfortable. Despite our late-night arrival, they warmly welcomed us, and when we had to leave early in the morning, they thoughtfully prepared takeaway breakfasts for our group. They even helped us arrange transportation to the train station. Very kind staff and an excellent place to stay in Ollantaytambo!

Ollanta is fun and peaceful. The streets that run to the square are amazing. The charm of the houses and town is uplifting. Waking up to history all around gets my heart off in the right direction. I loved my time there.

Ollantaytambo is a gem of a town, my favorite so far of the Sacred Valley towns I have stayed in. The historic part of town feels like it must have felt with the Incas were living there in precolonial days. The streets are kept immaculately clean. Everything you might need is within short walking distance but does not intrude on the authenticity of the town. The views of the Inca ruins on all sides take you back in time. I would gladly go back for a longer stay. The constant flow of large tourist vans down the main street can be a bit annoying as they don't seem to belong, but you can avoid this. One great thing about Kamma Guest House is that it is not in the main stream.

Awesome characterful town well worth an overnight stay. We would love to return. The archeological site is stunning but don’t forget to spend some time exploring Pinkuylluma. The hike is steep and challenging but short and so worth it.

Strongly recommend to stay in the city instead of doing your...

Strongly recommend to stay in the city instead of doing your Machu Picchu trip from Cusco directly. It would be much less tiring and the city of Ollantaytambo is very cosy and comfortable. Specially if you are coming from outside Cusco and flying in, my recommendation to fly into Cusco and go straight to Ollantaytambo, stay here and visit Machu Picchu. Following by this, go back to Cusco for your stay and fly back. This was a good way we thought to beat the potential high altitude sickness.

Ollantaytambo is a very interesting place in itself.

Ollantaytambo is a very interesting place in itself. It can also be used as a starting point to visit Machu Picchu and other interesting archeological sites around. It's about 2 hours from Cusco by taxy.

A delightful small town set in dramatic scenery.

A delightful small town set in dramatic scenery. A bustling town square and a quieter and interesting old quarter with a variety of bars and restaurants The two sets of ruins either side of town are worth a visit for the views.

Great place for short stay on the way to Machu Pichu. The room was big, clean, very comfortable, and huge bed. Nice owners. Panoramic views from the room. We set off early, so owners have us some quick food (e.g. fruits and yoghurt as we were not able to attend breakfast. Ollantaytambo site 10-15 min walk, train station 20 min walk, so easy to reach these places by foot. Central plaza with cafes and shops also on the way to Ollantaytambo site probably 10 min walk from hotel. Highly recommend for stay in Ollantaytambo.

Fantastic experience in Ollantaytambo. The hotel is very nice in a traditional inca home in a tiny street close to the main square. Our staying could have not been better. Javier is the best host you can imagine. The room was very pretty and the breakfast so good with fresh fruits, eggs, traditional bread. We strongly recommend!
