Amazing location and service at villa coco. When we arrived from a long ride we got a nice drink. Our luggage were carried to our room. The room is spacious and there is outdoor shower. The food in Villa coco is amazing. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were amazing, there was nice music in the restaurant. Therefore we only ate in Villa coco. The swimming pool is super nice, I think the best in Panama of all the locations I have been. The beds at the swimming pool are very comfortable, so you can sunbathe the whole day. At the last day, the owner of Villa coco was super friendly and he brought us to the city centre of Santa Catalina with the pick up, because there are no taxis/busses. In the garden of Villa Coco you can walk to a hidden beach and at night you can see an amazing sky full with beautiful stars. We got a notification that there are constructions in the garden, but it was not disturbing at all. It was really quite and we could really relax in the garden. I will totally recommend a stay in Villa Coco. You will totally unwind and relax there!

For us it was THE BEST place from all we had during our 3 weeks trip through Panama. The resort is quiet but within walking distance to the "donwtown", the whole place is beautiful and well maintained, the pool has tranquil view over the ocean, the food was great and the coctails as well:-) The double bed was huge (200x200 cm) and very comfortable. The bunk beds for kids were also fine.

I loved everything about my stay. My room was huge! It was clean, had 2 beds, and a porch with a hammock steps away from the pool. I was surprised that the pool was available 24hrs because most hotels close theirs between 8-10pm. I had ac in my room which came in handy. The food was pretty good and my favorite were the pancake breakfast and the fish sandwich. The place was very calm and peaceful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Anything I needed, they accommodated. They even help you book excursions so you make the most of your trip. I loved my stay, honestly.

Wauw! It was such a pleasure and special experience to stay at Cabanas Sherrley. The host is incredible kind and the staff is the same. We felt like home at this place and we were welcomed in a warm bath. Also the room is super clean and all the facilities are provided, you won't miss a thing. The location is perfect and next door there is an amazing bakery where you can get your fresh baked homemade bread for breakfast or lunch. We would definitely recommend staying at this place!!! 😍

Funky surfer world with good restaurants. Feels like real Panama. Pleasant and relaxing except for the last 20k driving on the rough gravel road under heavy construction (Feb 2025). Once finished it will be great. Difficult drive at dusk and after dark with people on horseback. No gas station in town so be sure to fill up when on Hwy 5 in Sona or at the one Delta station about 1/2 way to Santa Catalina.

Santa Catalina is a lovely little village.

Santa Catalina is a lovely little village. The atmosphere is relaxing, people are friendly and it’s a nice place to hang out. The snorkeling and diving at Coiba island are impressive and gorgeous. A definite must!!

Santa Catalina is an interesting place.

Santa Catalina is an interesting place. If I were younger and a surfer, it might be awesome. At this stage it feels like it is still the frontier, the “wild west” of Panama. It is obviously super popular with the crunchy backpacker and surfer crowd, and judging by the development taking place (golf course down the road), it will soon be popular with the expats and gringos as well.

Good place to have a day trip to Coiba, we did an excellent snorkelling tour with Watching Dolphins. Playa Estero is very pleasant for a lazy afternoon ( but better with a car!). Some pleasant restaurants in the village : We liked lodge bar and restaurant, very good and friendly. Very disappointed by Los Penguinos, beautiful view and nice for a drink, but very very very long service. There is an ATM near the Pharmacia and supermarket.

I’ve been to Santa Catalina about 9x in the last 15 yrs. It’s clearly a place I enjoy. I’m there for the diving. If you go there to dive you should visit Isla Coiba … it’s world class. Of course you also have surfing, kayaking, fishing, walking on the beach or just relaxing at your hotel pool. Highly recommend getting out and enjoying one of the many restaurants. I also really like the people, who I find friendly and hard working. Hangout by the beach at sunset and you’ll find locals & tourist playing volleyball or just sitting over a cold beer enjoying the view.

Santa Catalina is quiet surf town.

Santa Catalina is quiet surf town. During the day, most of the restaurants were closed. There are two beaches, the nicer one is Estero beach, which is good place to surf, even for the beginners. You can do snorkling trips, diving, surf or kayaking to the Santa Catalina island, where the beach was great and water clear.

Our stay at Adama Eco Farm was super lovely. The Hosts were as kind as can be and it felt like a second home to us. The cabins are super clean and there's everything you need in the cabins. At night the frogs will sing you a concert so it's easy to fall asleep. The area felt safe all the time and you can walk in about 15 min to the beach of Santa Catalina. Overall we're extremly happy we stayed at the Eco Farm and want to thank Maryan and Dror for being so kind and caring!

The landscaping work of this hotel is fantastic. The common area, garden, pool, bar and lounge room are so nice, well done and beautiful. It really makes you want to spend time in the common areas of the hotel. Also, the food in the Bambuda restaurant here is so delicious! We really wanted to eat there all the time, so well done and healthy options are available!

The hotel is right on the ocean -- the surfers walk down the stairs to the beach and start surfing. My room had a lovely view of the water and there are plenty of terraces with comfortable chairs that also look out on the ocean. The staff is very laid back but very helpful. The restaurant/bar is open all of the time, and the food is good.
