We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Villas at Gone Fishing Resort in Boca Chica! From the moment we arrived, Brad, the owner, made us feel welcome and taken care of. He is such a great host – super friendly, helpful, and always around if you need anything. The resort itself is a little paradise - feels like a hidden gem. The pool is fantastic for cooling off and relaxing, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the whole property is surrounded by beautiful nature, which makes it easy to completely unwind. Breakfast was always delicious, especially the fresh fruits that were served every morning. We also went on the whale watching tour, which was a great experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip. All in all, we had an unforgettable time at this place. The place is amazing and the location outstanding. The road to arrive is beautiful and well paved and only takes 30 min from Panam American 1. The room was a nice size with 2 queen beds, water and tea coffee. Cold AC and big wardrobe with a safe, bathroom was big and sparkling clean. Breakfast was delicious and had big portions. We also had lunch and dinner there and it was quite cheap with several vegan and veggie options (drinks $7 and veggie dishes $8-$12). Although we had a jungle view room The view is worth 180$ a night that we paid. Apparently in high season is a lot more expensive so not sure I would pay double that amount to be honest. The beach is small but lovely and there is a tiki bar (only open on Saturdays) and a small dock where you can sit and watch the world go by. So quiet and beautiful there but it's a steep short walk down to the beach/dock. You can organize tours from here although we didn’t do any. Lots of wildlife around the beautiful and large property, we had a howler monkey just by our room, very noisy monkey at 6am but all part of the fun and the jungle adventure! Highly recommended.

I don"t know how to find words for this very special place. The room was perfect: equipped with everything you need, with a great view and the sound of waves. The place is just beautiful. It is located on a hill surrounded by water in three directions and jungle at the other. You are in the middle of the nature, you can see animals, its so peaceful and quiet. Walking around at the island is nice and you have the beach there on you own. The beach is also nice and safe for swimming. The hammocks have just the best views. The food is delicious: they have many different options; there are a lot of side dishes also including potatoes and dishes with different sauces (things I was missing in other Panamanian restaurants a lot). And everything is tasty. The service is super attentive and professionell. But the best thing are the people there. From the very beginning they made me feel like being a long lost family member who returned home after many years. I'm still overwhelmed by the kindness of everyone there. If I come back to Panama, I"ll definitely visit this place again. Thanks a lot for everything!

Umberto was awesome. The views out the deck were constantly amazing. Note that this is NOT the place to go if you want to be around people/things to do. But if you're looking for peace and quiet to get away from it all for a while you can't do better than Finca Colibri
