The place of the camp in the dunes is amazing. 360 degrees view over the desert. Nice place for sunset and so quit, that you can just hear the wind and the sand. Lovely tents, with really big bed and much space in the room. Very traditional place to stay, with so much love of details. The food was always frech and cooked on an open fire. The stuff are nice and always helpful. A nice memorier to never forget!

The views are incredible. You have the dunes next to you. It is very quiet and you can enjoy it at night (no sounds but nature) There is an open cinema where you can watch a movie. This was very good since at night there is not too much to do.

We arrived at the evening, and stayed for two days, and therefore they upgraded our accomodation for a nice, big stone house with huge windows.
They hat a golfcar for transferring us and our luggages as well.
Dinner is super great buffet with bbq as well.
We had a private jeep tour with a great guide, and also ridden a quad, both worthed their price.
Staff is very kind, the owner made the transfer in and out of the camp.
Thousand Nights Camp is located in Shārqiyah. Some units are air conditioned and include a seating area with a flat-screen TV.The tented camp offers an outdoor pool.

The food throughout was excellent, a great range of meals available - impressive considering how deep into the desert it is! They provided excellent experiences, both paid and complementary. All the staff were extremely friendly and made our stay special and memorable. It was the highlight of our trip, and we were glad to have stayed in the Sand House for 2 days.

It is in a beautiful location. If traveling with a 4x4, you just have to be careful not to miss the sign that takes you to the property off-road. The staff were attentive and we wrote messages prior to the arrival. Welcoming was nice and they took us up to the sunset spot; amazing. Bags were taken to the room. Our villa was very clean and cozy, surrounded with some nice trees and a lot of birds that sing during the sunrise (very unique). Food was really nice, so many options and you can sit inside or outside. If you really want to enjoy the desert, I would suggest even two nights.

Perfect choice if you want a small comfortable camp, with basically nothing to do...no wi fi or buggies.... although they will arrange dawn or dusk camel rides (approx £15) and I think "dune bashing" which we saw, but did not do. The dawn camel ride escorted by a Bedouin was etherial and great experience, highly recommended. Food was "basic" but excellent and tasty. Sultan tent was very comfy with good bathroom, shower and HOT water! You need a 4 x 4 to get there as its about 15km from main road and we would recommend spending 30 OMR for their escort to come and initially meet you at the gas station on main road. Once you have made the journey you can easily navigate it again, but its quite isolated so the escort was reassuring. All staff very welcoming and helpful. Recommend 2 night stay, one is not enough!

This was an incredible experience for my friend and I to sleep in the desert under the stars. We were blown away how peaceful and tranquil our surroundings were at Shooting Star Camp; it was the reason our stay so enjoyable. Ahmed, the owner, was a very responsive and generous host who made our stay as great as it was. He escorted us into the desert and had his colleague Mohammed prepare us great meals. I will certainly be reaching out to Ahmed again for similar trips and without a doubt recommend him and his camp to future guests. Being alone in the desert with only 2 chalets was a once in a lifetime experience that we won't soon forget. Seeing a million stars and hearing absolutely nothing was deeply gratifying and felt like food for the soul!
