Middle East’s Best Kept Secret
An enchanting Arabic jewel, Muscat was already an important port in the 1st century. With a strict building code that imposes respect to heights and styles, the city has developed a harmonized and traditional look that makes it irresistible. Don’t miss the traditional Muttrah Souq marketplace, considered one of the best in the region.
The city is actually composed of three towns: Muscat is the walled Old Town where royal palaces are located; Muttrah includes the old and new harbours and the Corniche seafront; and Ruwi is the commercial and diplomatic area. Check out the Muscat hotels map on Booking.com and choose your preferred location!
The city is surrounded by the Western Al Hajar Mountains, and the crystalline waters and sandy beaches of the Arabian Sea. Staying in a Muscat hotel on the beach is a great way to enjoy the beautiful Gulf of Oman views.
The modern and elegant Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is one of the largest in the world. Don’t miss the twin forts of Al Jalali and Al Mirani, and the Qasr Al Alam Royal Palace.
Before departing to Muscat International Airport, check the deals for hotels, resorts, and B&B’s available on Booking.com!
Muscat is traditional city. You will get a vibe of peacefulness in terms of city, people, beach, malls, and historic places to visit. 3-4 days could be enough to cover the sports. With a visit to the modern side of the area named The Walk is also a nice touch. Please be aware getting taxi is a bit tricky. They have an app named OmanTaxi, if you try to get a cab from your hotel, only luxury option is available which is very expensive for normal travelers, but you can put your location on next building to open the economy options to ride for a fair price.

Muscat is a nice and beautiful city.
Muscat is a nice and beautiful city. Souq Matrah is a must to visit. You need a car to get around the city, so best option is to rent a car. However, the food is expensive and overpriced at restaurants in the beach resorts areas like Al-Moge area or near hotels like InterContinental hotel and resort area, etc.

A must visit. Great hospitality. Amazing people. Clean city.
A must visit. Great hospitality. Amazing people. Clean city. Variety of food options. Wonderful landscapes. Just avoid summer month (April - November). And public transport is not up to mark. Sultan Qaboos mosque is something you don't want to miss.

Muscat is a Jewel of Middle East but as an independent Solo traveler who enjoys walking and use public transports , I tend to struggle. The infrastructure is just not there comparing to Dubai where one has an option to use the Metro from A to B.
Oman is spread out even from Muttrah to City you need a Taxi. Walking from Ghubra which is only a distant away from Millenium Apt, you would struggle to find a continuous pavement to walk on. So come on Oman work towards Eco Friendly.
Nizwa is always my favourite place❤️
Try street food “mishkaki” bbq meat at Ghubra or Just pass AlMouj complex.
Avoid May, June July August (hottest season) unless you are travelling to Salalah which is cooler season.

Muscat is an amazing place to stay.
Muscat is an amazing place to stay. Very calm people very relaxing place.. Theres so much peace in there. I love the behaviour of the people itself. Even if you are in a public places you cant hear any loud noises. I am very impressed. Its very good for my mental health. Very friendly locals. I feel completely safe.
A big hotell that is close to the Grand Mosque and Mall of Oman. I would say its right in between the airport and the old city. I had a big room and the breakfast was delicious. The pool area is really nice and relaxing. They have two bars at the hotell, one of them outside were people watched fotball on the big screen and smoked sisha. Its also close to local commercial area so easy acces to restaurants, atm, shops etc.
Check out the juice shop from this place along the parking lot behind the hotel. Delicious
Good staff at reception
Lady from tanzania was very helpful. I think her name is najma
Guy taking suitcase to rooms also very good manners.
Nice breakfast. Good to see that the chef making omelette is himself taking the omlettes to the table of the client - very good. Guy at the entrance at the restaurant also very courteous . He also made my tea. I travel a lot and i rarely see this service level
Keep it up guys. You are not the largest hotel in Oman but definitely on with the best service level
Thx
The design of the hotel is beautiful, even more so at night. The Omani and international staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location of the hotel is easily accessible, with parking on the property and an ATM on site. Pool and beach access is within 5-7 minutes from the bedrooms. We visited in June, during Eid. It was monsoon season, but still very pleasant despite heat and a bit of rain. The complimentary food served daily to guests of the hotel in the main hotel lobby was excellent!
I liked the view, the activities near the beach and the animals there. The staff did their best to make sure I am satisfied regarding food options, room services, and tours. The food is labelled in a way to know the allergens. The resort sent me WhatsApp messages about the different facilities, which made it easier for me to know them.
The tourism Omani guide (I don't know his name) was super helpful, down-to-earth and kind. I would like to thank him a lot.
Very modern room, super clean and comfortable. What stood out the most though is the staff. They are so friendly and attentive, it feels like a 5 star hotel.
The restaurant is not only great for a hotel restaurant, but it is one of the best restaurants in the area. The hosts, Joys and Amrita, were amazing and always checking in on us. We ended up eating at the Swiss restaurant nearly every day of our stay because of the amazing food and service.
We liked this hotel so much. Big, clean with western interior it really worth the price. Location also is very comfortamble, it is beachfront, so you can enjoy beach and sea, but also not so far from the city centre. Stuff very helpful as well. We also liked the meals, breakfast and dinner were just woow. Different cuisines, tasty meals- everyone can find what to eat. So if you are
looking for a 5 star hotel for a good price bear in mind ICH
Loved everything. Comfortable, clean, nice staff and overall a very reliable hotel. We stayed here twice for transfers and it was the best decision. Malls are reachable by walk and the mosque is really close too. Airport bus stop is right in front of the hotel.
After a week of adventure in oman in good and bad hotels, it was a breath of fresh air to stay in an hotel with European-like standards
Cool hotel by the airport but at the same time close to main attractions. Short walk to the beach. Lots of free parking spaces. Clean and spacious room. Kind and helpful staff. Gr8 restaurant (delicious Arabic breakfast for example). Rooftop with the view. We actually stayed there twice (at the beginning and at the end of our holidays in Oman). We enjoyed our stays there.
This hotel is located in one of the best areas in Muscat. It’s closed to Muscat international airport just 10-12 minutes by car and can easily access everywhere through the Sultan Qaboos highway.
The staff are polite, kind, helpful and friendly as always and I felt at home.
They do their best of efforts to make you feel comfortable during your stay…
It's our 2nd visit and won't be the last. It's an excellent break from the city with such a 5 stars hotel. We liked the stay, food, having clean and spacious rooms, and supporting staff everywhere. We also visited their a la cart restaurant, Omni, celebrating a special occasion and the staff made very special arrangements for us. Thanks a lot
Very nice hotel, neat, clean and cozy.., from lobby to you room & even the toilet bath its very clean. a perfect place to relax and recharged! all the staff are very friendly kind, and responsive. This is very highly recommended to all my friends and family. for me, this is a 5 star hotel in Muscat! 😊💯👌🏻
Very friendly staff, the private beach, different restaurant choices with great variety. Food was delicious, also breakfast buffett. Not that far from the airport and central muscat. Possibility to join tours to Muttrah Souk, Sultan Qabus mosque and Omani Mall for free.
Great location, room was clean and nice, the bathroom as well, staff were very nice (especially a reception lady named “Mint” I believe, was very professional and extremely helpful, made the place feel like a 5 star hotel!)
Will definitely return back.
