Staff were very friendly and efficient, food was lovely and fantastic location.

This is an amazing place to stay! We booked unexpectedly due to a cyclone and watched the the torrential rains and wind feeling safe and secure. There were only two of us, so place was much bigger than we needed but we will definitely be recommending to friends!!!

We liked Bellrock Lodge and this little village so much, we even extended our stay! :) It is worth staying longer in Kororareka Russell and especially at Bellrock Lodge, so let us tell you why: Bellrock Lodge is situated on a little hill (if you walk, there are a few steep meters) and because of that, you will have the most amazing views from your terrace over the coast. On clear days you will even see as far as Waitangi. The apartment and the terrace are quite spacious, even the bathroom offers more than usual space in rental properties. It is very nice equipped. The garden is beautiful so you also see beautiful garden greenery from the terrace. The hosts Catherine and Stuart are very kind and responded fast via WhatsApp. Their sweet dog Piper was also a great host and excited to offer play time with her favorite football and such :D Catherine and Stuart were always very hospitable, so for instance, if you get in a morning rain like us, getting new towels is easy peasy, just a message/call away ;-) The Lodge offers great amendities: laundry, dryer, DVD Library (great selection, we loved it), CD and Book Library aswell... To top it off, the Whirlpool and BBQ area are great, with superb views also. We loved to enjoy the Spa, especially on rainy days. In addition to that, we highly appreciated how thoughtful everything is equipped, there are umbrellas in the driveway, wineglasses from plastic for the Spa, different chairs (even comfy reading/TV chairs), more than 2 different towel sizes and many more things like that.. We have travelled a lot and Bellrock Lodge is one of our favorites. You nearly forget, that you are at a self-service accomendation because everything is so thoughtfully done. It is worth staying longer, you can experience a lot in the area, walk to the beaches from Bellrock if you want to, get groceries and have great restaurants/cafés in town.

Fantastic central location and next to the water. Fabulous big bed & spacious room, exceptionally clean, with verandah to watch the world go by and see the sun go down. Right over the road, big store selling everything you might need.

Very well set up for multiple couples, excellent location so close to ferry, restaurants and everything that visitors would want. Hosts sent great directions and everything was provided. Thank you for a great stay hosts were wonderful and responsive. Thanks for a great stay.

Lovely spot - very comfortable and quite. Check in was super easy and great communication from the hosts. Very spacious and even nicer than the photos. ~5 min drive to town so very close. Would stay again and highly recommend.

I rarely give reviews to places I stay because I travel so much but this one is def a 10/10. The dwelling is set in a beautiful garden and felt very peaceful. There is a wonderful attention to detail in the interior and had a warm welcome from David and his dog. It is close to everything but very quiet.

Handy location and good facilities for 4 night stay
