We were very warmly received and had great conversations with Alison and Andre (the host). They provided us with really useful local information and we followed their advice on what to visit the following day. Needless to say, we had a great day. Provided you like nature, this is a fabulous location to witness the sunset and listen to the birds. Overall a great place to stay near Westport.

Westport always delivers no matter what the weather. So many things to see & do including fantastic walkways & cycle rides. After any good ride, a great place to have a beer is at the Shortjaw brewery.

lovely town and surrounding areas. people so welcoming and friendly. Tonys cafe is AMAZING. The FOH lady is a Superstar. Beaches are so cool, watching the rough seas crashing in, the wildlife, the quietness, the treasures to see and find. Be mindful on the roads but otherwise FANTASTIC. I will be going back and spending so much more time there.

Great place and great food .The Quarry pub serve up a great meal at a great price. This is a great location to take day trips from to see some of the attractions,and fine weather is best. However a wet day didn't deter us much as there are some great museums.

A vibrant little place.

A vibrant little place. Lots to do in area - bush walks near town, surfing beach, history, good cafes and restaurants for such a small town. A good place for outdoorsy types to base themselves. Kawatiri Trail is a delight for walking and biking.

Museum is amazing, coal and gold history, first gold discovered north of Westport. Gibbies was the best breakfast I had. Fishing wharf sits at the end of main street, beautiful! What I loved most about Westport was its absolute down to earthiness. The road south to Panikaiki Pancake Rocks & Greymouth is the most beautiful Ive seen in the world. Charlston hve the best Sausage Rolls ever! Surf was amazing, endless breaks. There is a huge New World supermarket downtown, prices are right too.

We were passing through Westport and needed a nights stay at a reasonable cost. We couldn’t have been happier with our room and facilities. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would recommend this place to a friend anytime.

So great experience! We really enjoyed our stay in Westport. The family is lovely, they helped us with everything we needed and gave some recommendations of what to visit and where to go for a walk. Very nice conversations. The room was very big and the bed was super comfortable. Separated fridge only for us, the bathroom was cool and stylish, very well equipped. 100% recommended!

The location was perfect and stunning. Greeted by super friendly Cheryl. The chalets are private and inviting. Inside it was warm and very comfortable. Loved the percolated coffee! A few minutes mins drive from westport, cape foulwind and Charleston. Highly recommend. Thankyou Cheryl for your hospitality
