Excellent motel in Waipukurau. Very clean, spacious room with large living area plus kitchen. Hot shower with strong water pressure. Fast wifi and a comfortable bed. The gentleman at reception was extremely considerate and gave helpful advice for my travels around New Zealand for work. Walking distance close to restaurants such as Copperpot (delicious bistro food). Hope to come back again in the future with my wife. Exceeded expectations for a motel and quite reasonably priced.

We have stayed at Thornton before, a few years ago. On this occasion it was Easter weekend and could only get booked for the Friday night through booking.com. Steve the owner was very accommodating as we were going to a consert on the Saturday and he went out his way to make sure we could have the Saturday night stay also. On arrival we were met at reception and was greeted welcomingly. We were in one of the new units to the rear of the property. The accommodation, was very comfortable clean had everything you need, nice shower to, and in a good spot to travel to Havelock North, Napier and Ahuriri. I give 10 out of 10 and would recommend it.

Although you get transported into the olden dass my the ambience, the room was very comfy, good bed. and clean and modern bathroom. Breakfast was a real treat. And the owners ard very helpful!
