Exceptional!!! Views of The Poor Knights, comfortable bed, clean, great shower pressure, breakfast (granola 10/10), fully equipped kitchen, coffee pod machine, outdoor bath, books, and board games. Enjoyed lounging in the sun on the deck while eating breakfast. The location is great, close to shops, dining, beaches, and walking trails, but still beautifully peaceful. Would definitely book here again, and recommend to others.

Everyone said you must go to Shnapper Rock Cafe.

Everyone said you must go to Shnapper Rock Cafe. Well too expensive for us. $110 for a steak?? $110 for a lamb roast?? We found that incredible so no lovely dinner out for us. We did have a cheaper lunch but really wanted a great dinner.

This is a place for setting off to the Poor Knight Islands...

This is a place for setting off to the Poor Knight Islands marine reserve for diving. There are some very scenic views on walks. The village has a few restaurants and a cafe. I stayed in the dead of winter and there were few people about. Mornings were cold. I'd revisit Tutukaka.

Loved the little village of Tutukaka, the breathtaking scenery and the delicious food we had at Marina Woodfired Dining. The Poor Knights trip on the Perfect Day Ocean Cruise was a must do. Matapouri Beach is stunning and the takeaways from the Matapouri Corner Store were delish. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Tutukaka.

We stayed 5 nights at Tutukaka and tried each restaurant...

We stayed 5 nights at Tutukaka and tried each restaurant there. All within very short walking distances from Oceans Hotel.We went to Matapouri Bay a couple of days and then travelled to Whananaki another day which is a bit of a distance and a metal corrugated road. Definitely take a sun umbrella with you to all the beaches unless you want to fry! There are no trees on the beaches I really think the shops at Tutukaka should hire out beach equipment such as umbrellas etc. There is a lovely deli there and if I was them, I would be offering sandwiches / picnics for beach goers who are staying in the hotel.

We visited in November when there were no crowds.

We visited in November when there were no crowds. The road in and out was nice and quiet. Beaches empty. We especially enjoyed the local Anglers club. Beautiful food, good music and friendly staff.

My Wife and I stayed at Tutukaka for our Anniversary. We enjoyed our stay, it was a hot day and we had a swim in the pool before going to dinner. The room met our expectations and plan to return again in the future and maybe bring our kids with us next time.

The views are absolutely stunning. Even though we were in a storm and the power cut out for a few hours, the hotel staff still managed to accommodate us with torchlight and there were bbq facilities available for cooking. With views like these, who cares about power lol

The staff were very friendly. Location was great, we parked up and walked to the Anglers Bristo for dinner. Had a morning coffee at the cafe, which was a very short walk away. Easy parking, and the hotel room was clean and comfortable.

Beautiful location. Very friendly and accomodating host with a lovely dog. Location is very convenient as it's close to Tutukaka for my diving activities. There is a lovely trail to a hidden cove with amazing sea views.
