What a fantastic surprise this stay ended up being. We booked it during our travels for a quick place to stop at after visiting Hobbiton and on our way to Auckland without expecting much. However, the old world charm, the excellently maintained hot springs, and the delicious dinner were all great surprises.

Best place we have stayed in in NZ. Lovely cottage with everything you might need. A lovely host and a wonderful detail area to enjoy the evenings and mornings. Lovely details with homemade cookies and cakes and even fresh fruits when we arrived 🥰 Would have loved to stay longer.

This was an amazing stay! Our family of 5 was visiting Hobbiton and we needed a place where we could all stay together comfortably. This house had everything we needed and lovely unexpected touches like chocolates and coffee! Definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

I loved this place! it is my dream home, surrounded by greenery and hills. Our room was simple but spaciuos, clean and tidy with a big bathroom and a very comfortable bed. There is a small kitchen equipped all what is needed, the breakfast was very nice! even if we stayed for one night only, we felt like home! a plus is the hot pool iacuzzi in the garden, fantastic! the surrounding garden is so lovely and the cat is adorable! The BnB is 10 minutes by car from Matamata town and around 15 minutes from Hobbitton movie set.

We booked very last minute after walking out in a terrible accommodation. Booking was smooth, staff/owner was so lovely and welcoming on arrival, and room was large, well appointed and a welcome relief from the place we left. Spa/hot tub was a nice bonus. Also, proximity to Hobbiton Tour site, was convenient. Would definitely stay again.
