Beautiful, modern, cosy and comfortable tiny home in a tranquil setting. Had a wonderful stay and would actually live here! Gordon was very helpful, welcoming and informative about the area and wildlife.

Beautiful surroundings we felt completely immersed in the New Zealand native bush, you can tell the property is well taken care of by the hosts, which as a kiwi i really appreciate. Loved listening to the native birds in the morning and the rustle of the trees in the wind, and looking up at the stars from our private spa, a completely relaxing experience.

Owaka Lodge was a great overnight stop, in a small hamlet. It was clean, plenty of hot water. Gaynor is an excellent hostess, very chatty and the buns were a bonus

The location was perfect for viewing/hiking the Catlins Area. The motel had all the facilities we needed.

Guests staying at Catlins Newhaven Holiday Park are a 5-minute walk from Surat Bay, a long sand beach in Newhaven, where you may be lucky enough to see a Hooker Sea Lion.

What a beautiful, quiet and serene spot this is. Comfy and very clean. Owners were so helpful when we were let down by another accommodation, and let us book in a day early. Sea lions on the beach were a lovely bonus. The best place on the South island to just wind down and relax.
