This resort is fantastic! The location is perfect, right by the sea, and the restaurant offers stunning ocean views. The food was delicious, especially the fried squid. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I left my makeup bag behind, and they called me the same day to confirm and I’ve already received it in perfect condition. Thank you for the amazing service—I’ll definitely return!

Flawless seaside stay. Exactly as advertised. Peaceful and serene location, immaculatly clean facilities. Wish we had stayed more than one night. Would happily return, and would definitely recommend to friends and family. Highlights included the epic views and beach access. Also, arriving to special touches like my name written on our door so we knew where to go, and homemade shortbread to nibble on. We were also delighted to find a little bowl of jetplanes in the fridge- a little kiwiana for the Irish half of our party. Decor was on point for the classic kiwi bach theme.

We loved our stay at Golden Sand Beachfront. The location is perfect, directly at the beach. You can see some very nice sunrise and sunsets here. The area is quiet and cozy and you only hear the sea and some birds which we really enjoyed. The owners are very nice and friendly. The apartment was clean and well equipped. Highly recommend staying here.

if you want to stay for a few days, this is perfect as it had a seperate living area to the bedroom with a kitchenette. We were close to the pool and backed onto a lovely garden. Resturant is a lovely spot to watch the beach and sunset while enjoying a drink or meal.

Taipa has the lovely resort and beach, but there is not much...

Taipa has the lovely resort and beach, but there is not much else. However, Taipa is part of a gorgeous stretch of coastline including Cable Bay, Coopers beach and Mangonui. Within a few kilometers you have all the amenities you need, plus local attractions and shopping. There is the Famous Mangonui Fish shop over the water, a couple more lovely cafes, places to buy local art and craft, a walkway and pa, a picaresque harbour and opportunities to get out on the water. Go!

Overall, Taipa Resort is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful setting while enjoying a variety of amenities and activities. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with family, there’s something for everyone. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to returning in the future!

Small town friendly people would recommend stopping at a supermarket, they have superette with a reasonable variety for a superette in a small town We were staying at the taipa beach resort, lovely place to stay, Taipa and surrounding areas were easy to navigate around I think we chose a good time to visit wasnt to busy

I had a list of concerns with the room and sent an email to...

I had a list of concerns with the room and sent an email to the reservations team requesting a response so that we could negotiate a reasonable outcome but no one bothered to respond. The room was not up to standard and the staff were not overly welcoming. The swimming pool area looked like it was open to the general public and didn't feel safe for the children. Would not recommend staying here with young children or a family.

Quiet and relaxing as Taipa is on the outskirts but close to...

Quiet and relaxing as Taipa is on the outskirts but close to everything including the pretty Cable Bay, Coopers beach, Mangonui and Karikari peninsula. We drove here after a daytrip from Ahipara to Cape Reinga, got groceries in Kaitaia and made ourselves the yummiest BBQ with scotch fillet, fresh fish, mussels, prawns and salad. What we couldn't eat we packed for lunch the next day in our chiller bag. Lots of small eateries around and the Mangonui hotel has snapper burgers with runny eggs if not wanting to cook.

Stunning view overlooking the estuary and Taipa village. Living quarters had a memorable décor and was comfortable and warm. Facilities were clean and in working order. Hosts were friendly.
