The rooms were spacious and well designed. Everything what might be needed was there. An air condition made the high temperatures bearable. The breakfast was freshly prepared to our wishes and delivered to our room. Sandy and Glen were very helpful. We felt welcomed. The beach is just across the street and invites for a late evening and morning swim. I wished we could have stayed for longer.

Great location, plenty of food options nearby, a shopping mall, walking/running tracks, a gym and beaches not too far. Comfy bed, great wifi, nice outdoor seating area. Washing machine and clothes line, plus there was actually washing detergent too, so convenient and appreciated. Large bathroom with soaps and shampoo, plus a bath, with bath salts! Those small inclusions make you feel so welcome. A private and cosy place to stay. Excellent instructions from the host, easy and clear communication, no problems finding where to go or gaining access. Late 11am checkout is awesome too. Highly rated, strongly recommended.

A great place to stay.

A great place to stay. You share the living space with the hosts who are very welcoming and encourage you to make yourself at home. The bedroom is spacious and airy with a lovely ensuite. All very clean and comfortable. There is a lovely outdoor area to sit and enjoy a drink or just relax and read a book. We couldn’t fault our stay, it was just as advertised and Chrissy and her family are great hosts, we would certainly recommend staying at Red Beach Retreat.

The apartment was exceptionally good value for the upmarket...

The apartment was exceptionally good value for the upmarket quality and comfort. The views of the beach are stunning. The apartment is sunny and private with the only sounds being the waves on the beach and the Tuis in the trees.

There are so many wonderful treats on the Whangaparaoa...

There are so many wonderful treats on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, and I’d would highly recommend Unique Spa for a world class massage and Due Amici for a superb Italian dinner. wonderful beaches, it really is a gorgeous spot!!
