The history of the building is epic. We had the Queens room, where actually the Queen stayed. Unbelievable. It's really nice stuff in the bar as well. It was quiet and the beds were very compfie. We definitely recommend a stay here and coming back.

This is a stunningly located property in beautiful surroundings, with a beautiful garden, and Mike and Julie are excellent, friendly hosts. Plenty of breakfast choice in the barn's kitchen. You can feed the alpacas when you've finished feeding yourself. This was the one place in New Zealand we thought worth visiting the country again for. We wished we could have stayed longer.

We really liked how clean and comfortable the rooms were. The motel was quiet and in a convenient spot, close to the town centre. The owners were very friendly and helpful, which made our stay really enjoyable.

We had to change our check-in time cus at the last minute from 5pm to 9pm but Angeline (Receptionist) was very kind and understanding on our change. We were offered to just get into the room without popping into reception cus of our late arrival (We went in anyway!) She'd even turned on the heater for us before our arrival so we could get into the warm bed straight away! Thank you so much for your kind arrangement :)
