Kakariki Cottage is a gem! After a long flight, it was nice to arrived in such a quiet and a beautiful place. The cottage itself is cozy, and welcoming. Every detail has been thought of—everything you might need is provided, including a generous selection of breakfast essentials like eggs, bread, fruit, salt, pepper, oil, and even treats like cookies and chocolate. We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Karaka for two nights. The property was excellent, has a modern interior, free parking and being conveniently located near cafes, bars, and restaurants. The motorway right outside the property provided easy access for traveling to various locations.

No milk with supplements, had to find a local shop to buy some to have a cup of tea? Very bad management. Outside in the grounds very untidy, rubbish and dirty bedding left outside of some of the rooms when we were looking for a staff member. no staff on the property?? Very bad.

Friendly helpful locals on two occasions of whom I asked directions. Museum is well worth a visit- trained soldiers there for WW 2.Easy to get around Papakura walking, fairly flat.pleasant parks.Lots of takeaways of brown food, fried chicken and chips etc. Good taxi service. Some rubbish in the gutters- drink cans, papers.Countdown and New World supermarkets. Farmers and Postie plus gives some idea of the size of Papakura

Basic accommodation but suited us after a long drive. Room was bigger than expected. Great to have 2 seperate beds which can be hard to find. Nice to have Sky TV and not just freeview channels like most places. Beds were comfortable. Really centrally located to Takanini and Papakura. Location is great. Nice secure parking. Staff made check in really easy.

Not much! The location was excellent for what we wanted, very convenient to walk to the supermarket and into the main street of Papakura. Our son said the fold out couch was comfortable to sleep on and the full range of Sky TV channels was good. It did have a decent sized living area.

Basic motel but it is clean and looked after well. Always book here whenever I am in Papakura as I feel safer with the gate and the staff looks after us well.
