Very pretty aesthetic of the place. I felt like I was in a cottage core style magazine. Everything was clean, the little flower garden in between the rooms/kitchen/bathroom is absolutely lovely, there is wifi, there is a TV, books to enjoy, a very nice kitchen, the bathrooms were the kind you enjoy having a shower in. There was noone else staying the night we went so it was very very nice but it would have been lovely anyway. There is also a very cute friendly cat called Taco, which was just the cherry on top. One of my favourite stays in NZ so far.

We loved our stay at the Lodge. Candy and Rawiri are great hosts. <3 We could even pick some vegetables out of their garden for our dinner. They were always helpful and provided great tips for the area. The lodge has everything you need, is super spacious and has a great view. It is a special place. Highly recommend it!

Amazing location right at the beach. It’s a lovely well maintained place run with lots of love. The cabins are somehow aged but in an incredible condition- PERFECTLY clean and with enough details to make it feel modern. Very comfortable beds. Jacuzzi with spa towels. You simply cannot beat the view - it’s one of the most spectacular views for accommodation I’ve ever seen. The accommodation is so lovely and modern - has everything you could possibly need while you kick back. Kiri was such a thoughtful host, she truly made our stay so memorable.

A very well appointed and comfortable room in a beautiful location. This would be a great place to spend a few days. The small kitchen is very well appointed and the room is spacious and private with a deck overlooking the inlet. The bathroom is wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

The best one attraction being the view of the harbor...

The best one attraction being the view of the harbor entrance, its rugged and raw with the huge sand dunes in the background. If your lucky you may see the Orca Whales and catching fish for dinner is guaranteed and takes less than an hour. Groceries are expensive, I recommend stopping at Countdown in Kaikohe or Dargaville before arriving to the area.
