What a find- beautiful property well furnished and equipped- spotlessly clean- beds very comfortable. Well positioned and beautiful view from the deck. We were only sorry that we could not stay longer and enjoy the ambience of this gorgeous property. The hand written welcome note was a nice touch. Next visit it will definitely be on our list.

Always love visiting Oamaru and have stayed several times. There is a wonderful range of stores in the town, something for everyone! We enjoyed a cocktail at The Lounge Bar, a good pub meal at Tje Last Post. I bought Christmas mince tarts from a the Harbour Street Bakery in the Victorian precinct … wished I bought more!

It was my old home town many years ago, & has a lot to offer...

It was my old home town many years ago, & has a lot to offer tourists, with the beautiful old limestone buildings. The historical part of town is well worth a browse with Steam Punk & much more to view & the little Yellow Eyed Penguins are a sight to see as well as the seal colony in the same area. Your also close to the great Waitaki river for fishing or boating & picnicing. For bikers theres plenty of scope to ride up the beautiful valley as far as Mt Cook. Plus the botanical gardens is a spectacular stroll for families. Jimmy the parrot lives their & has been around for many years and likes a chat, he will speak to you if your in his favour that day. The children's play area is a treat for a family visit or a picnic day out if you fancied. OAMARU IS A VERY SCENIC LITTLE TOWN.

We enjoyed our visit to Omarau immensely.

We enjoyed our visit to Omarau immensely. Went to Steam Punk city and to see the penguin colony. Then the boulders. All we enjoyed and would recommend as a must see. The locals were very friendly and the shopkeepers very helpful. We were only there for three nights but really enjoyed our time. Would love to visit again sometime in the future.

Oamaru is totally different from other towns we visited.

Oamaru is totally different from other towns we visited. The old Victorian centre and Harbour area is really interesting, full of galleries and quirky shops. There are a couple of breweries there but Craftworks is the best, like an old English pub. But it’s the Steampunk scene that is the weirdest and most interesting thing about Oamaru. There’s a great interactive must-visit museum. Allow at least two days so you can visit Elephant Rocks and the Māori rock paintings outside town and a castle on the way to Christchurch. The coastline between Dunedin and Oamaru is spectacular too. Don’t miss the Moeraki rocks.

I came for the Victorian Heritage Festival and to catch up with friends. I really love the historic precinct, the harbour and Gardens. They all have an old world charm. People are friendly. The St Patrick's Basilica is really worth visiting.

The heavy rain precluded too much driving around, but...

The heavy rain precluded too much driving around, but locating historical places was rewarding earlier on., With Labour Day celebrations, it meant most people were at home celebrating a day off (which was good) but not so much to participate in through the day. However a very good meal was enjoyed at Star and Garter down the road and I would thoroughly recommend visiting there.

We were struggling to find accommodation that suited us and at the last minute came across Poshtel on Booking.com so booked it. It was fantastic! Exceeded our expectations when compared to other types of accommodation we had looked at. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent and we loved the style and vibe. We now wish we had stayed longer. We will definitely book this hotel again in the future.

Good location close to central Oamaru and the Victorian Quarter. The motel unit we stayed in was at the rear of the property in a quiet location therefore no road noise. In addition, the unit appeared to have been designed to prevent airborne and impact noise from attached units which is a big plus in terms of having a good nights sleep

Tastefully furnished with unusual antiques, the apartment is well equipped and in a quiet location. Easy parking on the free public carpark across the street. Easy self check-in with clear instructions from Greg.
