Location was nice. We were upgraded to one of the deluxe outside units where we could park right outside. Rooms did have a funny smell but could have been the sulfur in the air. Room and bathroom were clean. Beds were comfy. Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

The attitude and behaviour of the staff specially Vivian was commendable. She was very helpful and cooperative. Advised us on tidbits and gave us wonderful tips so that our one night two days stay in Rotorua was memorable. The hotel was superb and the ambience, location was fabulous with lots of eating places nearby including the outstation bus terminal. The whole team of the staff of this hotel deserves special mention.

I had an amazing stay at Distinction Hotel, Rotorua! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we felt welcome. The facilities were top-notch, and the kids especially loved spending time in the pool. The included breakfast was outstanding—so much variety and everything was delicious! Our room was quiet, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. I highly recommend Distinction Hotel, Rotorua, and would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was unbelievable! The hosts Danny and Mabel outdid anything I’ve experienced before. After visiting the city of Rotorua, we realized that staying a little out of town was a great choice. Rotorua was a meh city and driving is pretty much required to get to any of the interesting attractions. Better to stay at the Country Villa, in a lovely setting, with a clean comfortable room and charming hosts than to stay in an overpriced hotel smelling of sulfur.

incredible! the owner and his wife worked at the top hotels in the world and it show. their attention to detail is amazing. if you stay here you could not possibly want for anything. breakfast is the best you will have at any b&b and the owners obviously love sharing their garden and surroundings with guests

The house is very comfortable and beautiful. Facing the Ngongotaha lake is a plus point! With the cold weather, the heater helps a lot. Love it!
