Very peaceful and great location for Doubtless Bay and Mangōnui. Nice walk down to Taipa Beach from the property. Great views for sitting outside and enjoying the views. The apartment had everything we needed for cooking and a very comfy bed. Sharon and John were attentive hosts and the shop next door is an Aladdin’s Cave of tempting things for the home.

Mangonui is a pleasant small place with a beautiful waterfront. Considering its size it has a good range of eating places as well as a supermarket. The heritage trail is interesting and also a good walk, although there are some steep sections once you leave the waterside. There are good views all around. At low tide there is an interesting range of bird life on the exposed mud. There is obviously good fishing. This a good place to tke a trip up to Cape Reinga and the nearby KariKari peninsula has a winery and good beaches.

Lovely quiet location. Water front views. Heated swimming pool. Pretty town with restaurants and cafes. Staff were friendly. Allowed us to check in early. Hotel looked amazing from the outside. Pity the inside didn't match up with the outside appearance.

Beautifully restored and comfortable. Close to restaurants. Remarkable Cafe for dinner was excellent. The hotel was one of the buildings featured in the historical walk. Wonderful hosts.

The view is exceptional from the rooms that we had. Located next to a Thai restaurant and just above Jesse’s cafe and bar. Perfect. Thank you Mangonui for a great quick get away for us.
