I enjoyed the fact that it was super private and the barn itself was spacious and beautifully set! I loved the dinning space and the lounge area, ideal to keep company because of those spaces being so large :) the cooking space was great and i was able to whip up some good harty meals utilizing the kitchenware and appliances! If it wasn't raining and we had chosen a date where the weather was warmer/ hot the 2 roller doors would of allowed for a lot of cool air flow. The sleeping quatres upstairs was fabulous and could definitely feel the warmth from using the heating downstairs during the day. The host was lovely and allowed us the privacy and space to go as we pleased. We really enjoyed our little weekend get away, the location was ideal for our little day excursions to bowen town, waiting beach, hot water beach and whitianga. It was also very easy to find off the main drag. After exploring we came back to a nice hot shower, just to wash off the travel dust... did I mention that the water pressure was amazing! And the bed upstairs was perfect, kept us in a nice slumber. Great bed! The garden was a lovely touch, especially having that space surrounded by orchards.

Beautiful location, cosy cottage on an avocado orchard. The hosts Steven and Annie were so lovely to us, their local knowledge of the area was very useful and they were so kind, welcoming us into their home for an evening sip or two and on our final night they took us to their local boat club, we were then farewelled with a bag of delicious avocados!! Amazing value for money, beautiful location, but you will need a car, Katikati township was about a 10 minute car drive. This is a great base if you want to do some sightseeing 😊

Visited earlier this week and all was perfectly in order - a great location, great host and an exceptionally nice house to be staying at. The owners have tended to all details in and around the house (which is on his avocado yard/plantation) - it simply is better than a 5 star hotel, Ridgeton is a luxury yacht on land.

We spent a lovely few days in this gorgeous peacecully retreat.. Arrived to a lovely welcome from Amber, who showed us through accommodation. Felt at home staright away, spacious rooms, beds are devine, sheets lovely & soft. Its the extra touches of throws and blankets that add to a place. Shower spacious and large. Well stocked kitchen with lovely private outdoor seating area to enjoy the garden & listening to birds. Friendly dog visited few times a day to say hello. Town only 10 min drive away, also lovely beach 30min drive.

The drive to Katikati was terribly slow because of the road...

The drive to Katikati was terribly slow because of the road works. But we were greeted by the restaurant staff whom made us feel calmer & welcome. The public bar did not disappoint either. Some very friendly fellas chatted to us immediately & recommended the restaurant for a meal. We loved all the paintings & photos all around the place. Such interesting history available for us to learn. We will definetly be back to stay a bit longer & ask for out book to be signed...The Great NZ Pub Crawl. Thanks for a memorable experience.

My grandchildren loved the pools and thoroughly enjoyed the swimming holes in the creek as they found it really refreshing. Really enjoyed our motel room as previous camping trips elsewhere I've had to wake up at least 3 times in the middle of the night to take children to the toilets. Very lovely and enjoyable time had by us all. Thank You

House and scenery was stunning! We never left the property it was so beautiful. Outdoor baths were a highlight. Attention to detail was remarkable. Overall tranquil and peaceful, and deeply restorative place.

This was my third stay at Talisman during last few months.

This was my third stay at Talisman during last few months. Big carpark. A very short walk to Katikatii Arts Hub for Kati Folk Club monthly show. Went to Robert Harris in main street for 7am breakfast next morning.

We only stayed one night visiting family but we liked what we saw. We have been to Katikati before and there is much to see and do. Great variety of shops - op shops, pottery, art gallery and of course the cycle way. Clean and tidy town.

Katikati is a really nice nz town with a good range of cafes...

Katikati is a really nice nz town with a good range of cafes and shops. There is easy access to bush and country walks and to the coast. We had excellent breakfasts at the Chrome cafe (Avocado with everything!)

This is a detached cottage roughly midway between Waihi, Waihi Beach and Katikati. Two large bedrooms, lounge containing kitchen area, bathroom, outside patio with lovely ocean view. Good facilities, the owners Noel & Janet were very friendly and helpful.

Great service, neat and clean facilities, beautiful surroundings, close enough to drive to either Waihi, Katikati or Tauranga. Pools and spas were lovely and the river makes this place a playground heaven for kids and the campground feels very tranquil.
