The house was closed to the ligthouse and beach. You may enjoy the impressive moonlight and sunrise sceneries. The facilities were well provided and comfortable. We hoped to stay another night if there is another chance.

Best location & marvellous view from room. Could sit on sofa & see the ocean. Very modern & clean & conveniently next door to pub (which closes early so no noise at night). Parking spot right next to accomodation.

The view is fantastic. The ocean is just out the sliding door and across the road. The road is not heavily traveled, so there is no excessive noise. The bed was probably the best one we have had since coming to New Zealand. I also appreciate that the host told us about several things to do in the local area and set us up for a lot of good excursions.

The apartment is beautiful, big and spacious with large windows and a marvellous view. We liked all, especially the comfortable bed, the bathtube with whirlpool and the ocean view. The last morning there was an awesome and spectacular sunrise with rainbow, the best ever we had. From Kaka Point we could visit easily many places of the Katlins, so we loved it. The responsable woman was very helpful and friendly, f.e. with the key and all our questions.

The motel exceeded my expecation, super nice enveriment and comfortable sleeping experience, it's such a nice place to find in a small town like this. And the staff is super friendly, keeps remindering us about dinner option, fueling advise, it was quie an experience.

Spectacular restored Victorian decor—lots of room; comfortable bed; excellent communication with host; easy access to Catlins area. On the host's recommendation, we dined at the Lumberjack cafe (reservations required) - a truly spectacular meal. Overall, great value for the money.
