Our stay at the Novotel Hamilton Tainui was perfect. We had two large double beds, the bathroom was modern and clean and we were perfectly happy to eat from the Room Service menu. The little Thai restaurant across the road was yummy as well. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Escape room at Confinement. Amazing walk around Hamilton Gardens - definitely worth a visit. Tamahere is a beautiful suburb with a great dessert bar - PoppyPeach.
Close for a drive out to Raglan and Bridal Veil Falls. Close enough to Rotorua too.

Every time we stop by we are always surprised by how much Hamilton has to offer. We really enjoyed the main streets along the river on the West and East banks, around the Waikato museum and the theatre currently under construction. Go visit Made on the East bank, great for food and local produce in a beautifully designed settings.

We like the room, easy to access with no worries about the key. Wifi was working, easy parking as well.
But no spoons only teaspoons and only two toilet rolls.
3 of us with 3 cups, 3 plates, 3 glasses, 3 sachet of coffee, tea and sugar. It was unusual to see that. Maybe we missed something that we were not prepared for.
Thank you, apart from that it was great to get out and about with the purpose of our visit.

Trying to find the places that we had to go to was interesting as we kept getting lost. I don't think Hamilton is very easy to get around. Went to the Hamilton Zoo really enjoyed it. We ate most of our meals at the Hamilton Workingmens Club which was very nice a great menu.

I didn't feel very safe. A lot of social housing tenants.
I didn't feel very safe. A lot of social housing tenants. Went for a walk and had to negotiate lots and lots of discarded supermarket trolleys just disbanded in the street . Such a pity for what could be a beautiful destination.
Hamilton Gardens. The purpose for the trip exceptional. Well worth the drive down from Auckland.

We went specifically to visit the Gardens.
We went specifically to visit the Gardens. These are so magnificent I would hate to think people could miss them. Having been told it would take us many hours, we were surprised that we were through leisurely in about 2 1/2 hours. We were lucky enough to be there for Balloons over Hamilton - great spectacle, and 2 perfect days!!
The staff were amazing! We stayed here the night before and on our wedding night and they gifted us a beautiful bottle of Champagne! The location was great, all the restaurants and stores were of walking distance, there was a cafe right below the hotel, and our wedding was at the Hamilton Gardens, which is a short drivd from the Hotel! The rooms had such amazing natural lighting it was beautiful, and the beds were very comfy! my husband fell asleep on the bed the moment we got to the room on the wedding night 😂♥️
My husband and I have stayed at the Novotel in Hamilton a few years ago. We were very pleased to see that it is still an excellent Hotel. The front desk receptionist (duty manager) was a lovely lady and the young guy who was very busy, but still made sure someone was looking after us. Great Staff. We had a lovely dinner and drinks. the lovely Maori girls were Fabulous. The room was awesome and met all our requirements. Great bed and watching the State of Origin!!!
Great value and really comfortable place owned by a really friendly and helpful couple who live upstairs. Super convenient - right next to Hamilton Lake and four minute drive to center with numerous dining options. Has all the conveniences one needs and all the options for continental breakfast available. It also has a mini living room all for yourself. And gorgeous bathroom.

The host left us lots of breakfast items, milk, cereal, bread, butter, and great coffee and cookies too. The place is very good value, great cleanliness, quiet location, good off street parking and is very central in Hamilton.
The location for what we were doing (Te Awa River Trail & Hamilton Gardens) was fantastic. Jumped straight on the trail from the accommodation.
The room was super clean & very comfortable beds.
The room itself has extra large space. The bed were very comfortable. The hotel is on the main street of the city and the main restaurant were 2 minutes walk, very handy.
For the price of a Hamilton hotel room, Mystery Creek provided a whole unit with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room and a separate kitchen. This was tremendous value.
Beautiful location and private studio, hosts were very friendly (including the 4 legged one!) Close enough to Hamilton to be convenient, but still with country charm.
There was a nice breakfast spread, the rooms were very clean, and the hotel was calm. We had a great rest and continued our adventure the next day around Hamilton.
Stunning views, easily accessible to Hamilton. Staff was so easy to work with. Huge area for us to relax in and the view was breathtaking from our bedroom
