This was a wonderful place to stay. Very peaceful and private. It had everything we needed and more. Loved the duck theme. Hosts were friendly and generous. Wish we'd stayed longer, but we'd love to come and stay again sometime.

Absolutely loved this place....it was glorious........most amazing renovation making this a very special place to stay. There was nothing that was out of place and nice little touches such as complimentary port were really appreciated Would loved to have stayed longer

We just fell in love with that place as soon as we entered the carpark. Sue and John are such lovely and wise hosts, it was a pleasure having amazing, meaningful conversations. Private enough and still feeling as part of the family. Everything you could ask for and if we ever come back, we now know where this will be.

Comfortable King size bed. Exceptionally helpful & friendly owner - even lent us her car wash brush etc so we could wash the car. Wish we had stayed there 2 nights instead of the 2 nights we booked in Kaikoura.

Everything! Staff were so so nice, there was a girl that checked me in and she said it was only her 4th day, she was the loveliest person ever and so helpful! Definitely stay there! Customer service and facilities absolutely 10/10!

Excellent facilities, Rhys and Anna are very friendly and helpfull in providing travel information. Breakfast was extensive, you can select from a variety dishes which are prepared freshly. Kotare is located in a beautyfull landscape and can also serve as a base camp for a longer stay.

We were travelling on to another destination so had only...

We were travelling on to another destination so had only planned to stay 1 night. Geraldine is a lovely township. Worth a visit. The Barkers shop is a must. The café is superb. Plenty of other excellent places to eat. Everything pretty much within walking distance.

Geraldine is a pleasant place to stop overnight on your way...

Geraldine is a pleasant place to stop overnight on your way to Christchurch or Tekapo. There are a lot of facilities for a small town. We had a nice brunch at Verde which I can recommend for it's nice food and surroundings.

Geraldine is an attractive little town and a great place to stay. It has interesting shops and restaurants. Grandpa's Toys is a great wee toy shop. Verde is a lovely place for lunch and breakfast. The Village Inn is a warm, friendly place for dinner. They have a new Thai restaurant, a very good Indian, and Barkers, where you can have breakfast and lunch and buy their great food products. There is also a lovely little cafe up in Woodbury. Woodbury also has a beautiful church.

There were lots of space, but no hangers or to hang up your...

There were lots of space, but no hangers or to hang up your cloths and there were no possibility to rinse your cups and the bed was old and we did sleep well. There was breakfast but the scone's were very dry( sorry). And there was nobody to welcome you, so no personal contact with the owners( That's a pity). Would not stay there anymore.

Sorry my review sounds like an ad. But it's no BS. Halfway between Christchurch and Lake Tekapo, Geraldine is a great little town to stop and recharge. Acland Falls walking track is a nice hike close by. Good supermarket, liquor store and plenty of food outlets. We had the cheeseburger loaded chips (Reburger) and the lamb shishkebab plate (rice and large salad included) (Kebab World). After the hike, it was just the pig out we needed This sounds

What a fantastic township with three Museums, crafts,...

What a fantastic township with three Museums, crafts, eateries and local stores. Everyone was very friendly and wanted to make our visit enjoyable. Barkers was excellent for dining out and looking and tasting their produce. Accommodation at Andora was inviting, clean, well serviced and staff were very friendly and kept the units and grounds beautiful.

There wasn't anything good to say about this place because no one was there. The place was closed with no notification from them. We had to miss out on staying at Geraldine ( something I was really looking forward to). Geraldine was booked out and so we had to drive on. Thankfully we hadn't paid in advance
