My first night in New Zealand and was perfect. Set on a farm with goats, donkeys, pigs, cats, dogs. Very welcoming host who drove me out to get dinner when i arrived as everything was about to close. Informed me of some nice walks to do. Basically living in the house with the host, lovely kitchen and garden. Breakfast provided.

Tidy space, good bathroom with excellent water pressure, appliances in the house very intuitive to use. Close to greenery. Felt very homey, owner obviously takes pride in providing a high quality space.

Dury is a smaller township on the outskirts of Auckland, it has an amazing pub across the road from the motor inn with incredible food. Not much to see as such but a welcoming environment none the less.

I loved every single aspect of my stay there, from the host and hostess to the landscaping outside and the friendly cat and dogs. It was a sensible layout in the kitchen so it was easy to prepare our dinner. The bed was made to a professional standard, as well as being tastefully done and very comfortable. It was a wonderful balance of feeling luxurious but relaxed homeliness.

The position suited us as family were not far away.
The position suited us as family were not far away. We had coffee at a local cafe for breakfast and so forth. Drury convenience shops on the main road , not the first place to stop. However we have stayed in the more rural part of Drury and this was lovely.
Be aware if people wanted to do the waterfront and tourist venues this would be too far south to travel.
