A large historic property that has been well converted with all modern facilities. It stands in its own grounds approached via a long gravel driveway. The couple that own it were perfect hosts - there to help but not intrusive. They did offer to show us their farm an offer we were keen to accept and thoroughly enjoyed. They supplied a very large basket of breakfast/lunch type foods of exceptional quality. As we were only staying two days we were unable to use it all. It included fresh milk, muesli cereal, bread, home made cookies, butter, fresh orange juice, custom chocolate bar, crisps etc.

Beautifully prepared and decorated spacious room in a quiet garden location only a short drive from town. Very welcoming, helpful and considerate host. The room had a comfortable bed and a sofa. The kitchen was well equipped, with a washing machine as well. A very comfortable and relaxing place for an enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

This is possibly my favourite place I’ve ever stayed. The building has history and character. The design is stylish and comfortable. The owners have thought of little things and paid attention to detail. Only wish that we could have stayed more than one night (and that there was a slightly later checkout…but that seems common across most places in NZ).

Set in Temuka, Aalton Motel Temuka offers free WiFi. The motel has family rooms. At the motel, all rooms include a wardrobe. Certain rooms also offer a kitchen with a fridge, an oven and a microwave.

This property is well located just a few minutes walk from the shops, cafes and restaurants. It is a lovely quiet private location and the hosts Sue and John made us feel most welcome. There is easy parking and a flat entrance path. The bed was comfortable and there was a good shower. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast as we departed. We had a lovely continental breakfast with fresh brewed coffee. The hosts joined us and we shared a lovely half hour of conversation. We would definitely stay again when we are in Geraldine.

We had to change our check-in time cus at the last minute from 5pm to 9pm but Angeline (Receptionist) was very kind and understanding on our change. We were offered to just get into the room without popping into reception cus of our late arrival (We went in anyway!) She'd even turned on the heater for us before our arrival so we could get into the warm bed straight away! Thank you so much for your kind arrangement :)

Wonderful stay, great family and very nice farm animals plus Mallie the dog which was lovely. We felt home far away from home. Ollie and Pam are really nice, fun to talk to and very entertaining. We had a lovely biiiiig breakfast and great coffee. They have sheep that come to greet you at the fence, super big chickens and some rabbits. Loved every second of our stay! Would love to hear about them in the future. They are a very nice family!
