An outstanding property. This was definitely the highlight of our trip - private, comfortable, cosy (in the best way). Every little thing has been thought of. The outside bath was brilliant in the rain and under the stars. And the projector and screen for movie nights was a great surprise ! Hosts were delightful, great communication but left us to our privacy as well.

Everything! What a beautiful spot. Close enough to Queenstown but in a quieter, more secluded and stunning place. The place itself is fully self-catering. They even have some books and puzzles :)

We liked everything Matakauri had to offer. The staff were more like friends and treated us like family. Sitting in the lounge in front of the fireplace enjoying the view of the mountains was absolutely stunning. AND the food was fabulous!!

The room was just amazing, very large with fire place and balcony, great view view and free mini bar including Nesspresso, big comfortable bad and also big and comfortable beds, everything was perfect, also valet parking available. This comfortable guesthouse was perfectly positioned in Queenstown yet still quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was lovely and quite generous, the never-ending lolly bar was very welcome as was the free mini bar but the highlight was afternoon drinks - such a lovely opportunity to meet fellow guests over a wine or beer and delicious snacks. The staff are friendly and welcoming
