Margaret was an excellent host. She was ready and waiting for us. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The welcome was genuine and we felt like we were coming home. Cambridge is a beautiful town.

Cambridge is a beautiful town. Growing larger but retains its lovely main street with good angle parking and a roomy pull out lane. Love the many shops and good places to eat. Many side streets to explore and the lake is a beautiful place for a walk.

Some young people on the street at night (young white males...

Some young people on the street at night (young white males ) whose attitude towards me was rather mocking of an older person. This was about 10.45 at night. I come from Auckland. Cambridge is not a place I would feel safe walking the streets at night. Visitors beware. I don't feel like this when walking the streets at night in Auckland at that time. The town hall is beautiful

Cambridge has walks, cafes and history all within the town centre area. Every cafe/eatery seems busy with a steady flow of customers and always a table available. Food and service is excellent. Every season is different - autumn with the falling leaves is spectacular.

We were there for the Nationals Dragon Boating Regatta, and...

We were there for the Nationals Dragon Boating Regatta, and would have liked to have stayed on afterwards as spending a few hours in and around Cambridge (when we were away from the lake), the town and surrounding area looked like a great place to explore further. Next time !

We stayed at the Twin Kauri’s guesthouse for one night as we attended a wedding at Karapiro. The guest house is a standalone building at the back of a property and was lovely. The bed was comfy, lounge and kitchen roomy and the shower was great! The entire property is fenced which made it super safe for our little dog. Teri clarified the house rules for our dog and was super accomodating for the entirety of our stay. This is a really lovely and easy place to stay in Cambridge!

Sharon and Ian were wonderful and friendly hosts, this was a lovely and spacious house with a view and very close to local shops, walks and scenic spots. They supplied some great breakfast food options and were happy for us to roam the property and interact with their dog and neighbouring cows. Definitely recommend if you want to stay in a scenic area near Hamilton and Cambridge.

We had a very comfortable and warm stay for the weekend we were in Cambridge. Every thing in the unit was clean and comfortable, a home away from home!! Easy booking in, and a warm welcome from the owner. We look forward to returning next year or sooner if we are requiring accomodation in the area.
