We loved the location, the garden with all the fairy lights, the spacious room and hot showers. All was amazing. Outstanding for us was the all the staff were so kind, we got help with all the trips we made and all the transport, we felt so cared for. Especially thanks to Sandeep, who was a caring sunshine for is during the whole stay.

We had a really nice stay at Chital Lodge. We could arrange a transfer from Bharatpur airport to the lodge and from Chitwan to Pokhara and had a warm welcome from Bishnu and his family. We experienced some really lovely freshly made meals. Bishnu also took us on several safari’s which was really fun!!

From start to finish the staff couldn’t do enough to help ~ friendly yet professional. Aasish is very knowledgeable about the area and the national park & is also a very good nature guide. The hotel is quite new & therefore the rooms and hotel are modern & clean. The AC is definitely a welcome addition in this heat. Overall, I cannot fault my stay & would definitely recommend.

The location it's perfect you are really close walking to the town so you escape from the noisy main street. You are surrounded by beautiful rice fields. It's a familiar business and they are all really warm and help with all the guide and tours that can be done at chitwan. Excellent breakfast ready to start the day and they also prepare it depending on your activities (never seen this in all my bookings in Nepal). Plus they have the loveliest dog ever !!

I loved everything about this place, we booked for 3 days and we ended up staying 2 weeks! My partner and i spent 2 months travelling around Nepal, crocodile safari camp was one of the best places that we stayed at, we felt very welcomed every time , the place has a beautiful garden and the guys take care of that every day. You can hear birds every day, we stayed in a room with a private bathroom, the room had enough space and it was very clean and very cozy. I love that we had beach chairs to relax on and enjoy the garden and birds. There’s a lot of good things about this place, we ate almost everyday at the restaurant, the food is soo delicious, everything that we ate was super good and very well priced! If you are thinking of staying here, do yourself a favor and try the food, you have to tell them in advance because the guys make everything from scratch and fresh, totally worth it . i highly recommend this place, my partner and I came here like customers and we left making 4 new friends! both Bashu, Shambu and Tilak helped us with anything that we needed and resolved questions that we had, they also talked about the jungle and area of chitwan! if you are thinking do a safari and are looking for activities, Tilak offers good prices for a variety of activities in the jungle and has a lot of knowledge about the jungle. It was definitely hard to leave this lovely place! we would love to come back. ♥️

The only reason to stay in Chitwan is to visit the national...

The only reason to stay in Chitwan is to visit the national park, however, you can easily be ripped off by local guides and tour operators. Just shop around and remember that Jeep Safaris are a rip off because chanches of seeing any wild animal are extremely slim andyou end up spending 4 boring hours getting around the park. Make sure you know all options and talk to locals and tourist to find the best tour. I also recommend to visit the Tharu people site and see their dances, which is the best experience I had in this place

Make sure you visit the animal friendly project Stand Up 4...

Make sure you visit the animal friendly project Stand Up 4 elephants! It’s free and you meet two rescue elephants ladies :) We did a full day jeep safari and a half day jungle walk+canoeing. We were lucky and saw a bear, a bison, wild elephants and rhinos. Lots of colourful birds, crocodiles, monkeys etc. but you need luck to see the big animals. It’s sad that it is allowed to ride elephants in the Nationalpark what is an absolutely animal crime and the idea of a Nationalpark is to protect animals and nature. Also, to make more money, they let start five jeeps with one or two guests in it instead of putting them together. So they need to make more efforts and be more eco friendly. It worth a visit when you are already in the country and have time. But two days are enough.

It was my second visit to Chitwan.

It was my second visit to Chitwan. I'll be returning again soon, to see more of what I haven't seen yet. I've, the crocodile breeding centre and the elephants. Plenty of places to choose from for meals. Easy to walk around the town, apart from where the streets are being improved. Plus, even when many tourists there, it doesn't seem crowded. Pleasant weather during my time there. Plus, I managed to see several football World Cup games, at different bars/restaurants.
