• well equipped cabins - the kitchen had everything we needed including lots of high quality crockery, a variety of pots and pans, an oven and full refrigerator • the site is super scenic, just in front of a fjord and big lake • friendly and helpful staff • well maintained cabins • there was a drinking water tap just opposite the checkin cabin, which we found very useful • nice playground for the kids to play at

Mother and daughter and the student chefs are making this stay so wonderfull. The diner was made with local ingrediënts. The story behind this hotel was told by the daughter on such a nice way. So friendly, so open, so welcoming. The breakfast was a gem, with pancackes, local marmelade, eggs, etc… worth to stay here again.

Nestled between majestic fjords and snow-capped mountains, the location alone is worth the trip — but what truly makes it extraordinary is the warmth and attention to detail from the entire team. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and offer breathtaking views that change with the light of day. Waking up to the sight of the fjord was pure magic. The infinity pool overlooking the water is simply spectacular, and the wellness facilities are spotless, serene, and perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Breakfast and dinner were both exceptional, with fresh, local ingredients and a variety that caters to every taste — all served in a dining room with panoramic views. The staff went above and beyond to make every moment special, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. Hotel Ullensvang is more than just a place to stay — it’s an experience of comfort, beauty, and Norwegian hospitality at its finest. I cannot recommend it enough, and I’m already planning my return.
