We stayed in a self-catering cottage next to the hotel . The cottage was well equipped, clean, and there was lots of space. We have a 3 week trip, and sometimes you want to eat your own choice of food. There was a supermarket nearby what was really nice.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is calm and scenic, offering the perfect setting for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Surrounded by nature, yet conveniently close to local stores and amenities, it provides the best of both worlds—serenity without isolation. The property itself is spacious, well-maintained, and very clean. It is thoughtfully designed with attention to comfort and functionality, making it feel like a home away from home. The rooms are large and airy, with plenty of natural light, and all the facilities provided were in excellent condition. From a fully equipped kitchen to cozy common areas and comfortable bedrooms, everything was just as described and more. One of the standout features is the availability of an electric car charger, which was a major convenience for us as EV users. It made our travel plans much easier and stress-free, and it’s a great addition for any future guests who rely on electric vehicles. Communication with the owner was smooth and efficient from the start. They were easy to contact, responsive, and very helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was reassuring to know that assistance was readily available if required, though everything ran so smoothly that we hardly needed it. Overall, this property is ideal for anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and convenient place to stay. Whether you’re traveling as a couple, a family, or a group of friends, it has something to offer everyone. We would happily return and highly recommend it to others looking for a scenic retreat with modern conveniences.

Wonderful location - both in terms of the view & the village of Flo itself. You are at the end of the road so very peaceful & the village of mainly fruit farms is just a delight. Plus it is a lovely walk down to the quay, beach, boathouses & sauna. Flotun itself has been beautifully designed & constructed to the highest standards. It is warm, spacious & has everything you could need for the most comfy of stays. Two lovely bedrooms (hard to choose!), a state of the art bathroom with a wonderfully comfy bath & a lovely walk in shower. Plus another separate toilet & a utility room with everything needed for washing & drying. Plus there is really comfy outdoor furniture - tables, upright chairs & ‘have a snooze’ chairs. Plus good parking, a hose, & an EV charger The kitchen is a delight - large, well designed with everything you could need including a range of spices & oils etc Some reviews mention the distance to shops - well if you want a little piece of heaven then you won’t be right in the middle of a shopping mall! But Stryn & all the shops & restaurants that you could need is only a gorgeous 20min drive away! And to cap it all, the owner Siv is a great communicator, very caring & superbly helpful! Flotun isn’t cheap but we think you get what you pay for. We spent 5 days here & it proved to be one of the highlights of our 12 weeks in Norway

We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way to...

We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way to Geiranger. We booked a room with two queen beds for three people, but it was nothing like the pictures shown on the website. The room was dark, outdated, and extremely small. There wasn’t even enough space to open the luggage for three people. We paid almost $350 for one night, but it wasn’t even up to the standard of a one-star hotel. On the day of arrival, we received an email instructing us to pick up the key from a pizza shop next to the hotel instead of the reception, and we never saw anyone at the reception during our stay. The next day, we called the hotel several times to check out, but no one answered, and we never received a call back. I would absolutely not recommend this place.

A beautiful place...come for a relaxed holiday..hike..drive kayak..or just enjoy the mountain view the breads baked in the local café are awesome. You would need a car of your own to drive around ) 1

We were looking for something between Flam and Geiranger and...

We were looking for something between Flam and Geiranger and Stryn seemed like a good option, sounded like it had more going on that other towns but that was not the case. Hotel we stayed at was nice, quaint but dated, would recommend staying in Loen or Olden - seem to have more going on, newer more modern hotels and closer to sights. I would definitely choose either of those 2 towns over styrn.

I would highly recommend to stay here if you are visiting Stryn. Landlord Anders was very kind and good person. He assisted well through out our stay. View was awesome, food was real tasty. Balcony was perfect with a view of mountains. Dont miss the pizza in Nepolina Pizzeria. Visit in Summer, it will be a paradise.

The town was very welcoming, in every shop and restaurant we visited the people welcomed us with smiles. The best part was driving around the lakes and fjords that are adjacent to the city. We decided to take a half day and drove around Lake Lovatnet, so glad we did. The lake and shores were so beautiful, just breathtaking. It rained in the afternoon so we went to the Viking museum. It was a small museum with the main exhibit being a complete replica of a Viking ship, constructed as they were so long ago. A little high priced but nice. And a neat shop. We planned an extra day in our stop on a whim but are so glad we did.

Such a nice place to stay! Very friendly atmosphere, perfect cleanliness everywhere, comfy common spaces, beautiful garden, small but cozy rooms. It was our first experience of staying in accommodation with shared bathroom and kitchen, I was a bit worried if it would be convenient, but my worries were absolutely groundless. To be honest, I would rate this place higher than some 4 star hotels during our trip.

The people were very helpful in our time of need. As my husband and sustained an injury in the afternoon on the Loen Skylift who didn't really care. The people at Stryn were excellent. They assisted us in contacting the Ambulance on their phone which was very helpful. Thank you so much.

It is easy to check in. I came from Bergen to Stryn by bus Vy146 16.50-22.41 but it was not problem. The location is Good, it is easy to find and it is not far from bus station. The breakfast is not buffet but there are variety set manu for selected, i recommend full breakfast.

We chose this hotel because it was reasonably close to Geiranger, which was about 1 hour away by car. Room was comfortable and breakfast was good. We enjoyed relaxing and playing chess in the large common room, and the views from the windows were quite nice.
