Incredible stay!! What a fantastic place to stay, the hosts were very lovely, cooked an amazing breakfast and we felt right at home. The view from the kitchen was stunning and we would highly recommend this place. Can't wait to come back again in the future.

We had chosen the place because it is very close to Viator's Midnight Sunlight Kayak location. It turned out the cabin itself was a beautiful surprise. Excellent location to view the beach and the midnight sun. Very quiet, clean and spacious rooms. The kitchen is full equipped.

Full disclosure - I was here in very low season and was the only guest for the majority of my stay. The hostel is lovely, and the coziness was even more welcome in the dark winter days. Everything was clean and well organised, and the beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are large (could do with a small shelf in the shower to put your soap/shampoo/etc on when you're in there). Location is gorgeous, the sauna and icy cold plunge were perfect, and if the aurora borealis is up and the sky is clear the view is outstanding. The staff and volunteers are super friendly. This time of year it was a perfect spot to relax and do some of the short walks close by in the limited daylight hours.

The best value for money in the Lofoten Islands! This is a former school dormitory converted into a hotel. We had a wonderful stay; the room was spacious and comfortable, and the host warmly welcomed us with great flexibility and recommendations for exploring the area.

Straum was perfect for all travellers who DO NOT to live at...

Straum was perfect for all travellers who DO NOT to live at the Main Road. That's important because there is quite a traffic on these. Her your in a dead-end road, just some typical norwegian houses and the view over the arctic sea an in the extraordinary landscape. What makes the place even more special is the fact that there is an archipelago with hundred little islands an rocks in the first part of the sea, which you can reach with a boat; we did picnics overthere and saw spectacular sunsets. Though it is a remote place you're within 20 minutes in the lively city of Lefkes. And in the middle of all the natural sights of the Lofoten.
