New, modern but also cosy, amazing breakfast, very clean and staff was amazing as well!

The view from the room was stunning, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was good and comprehensive. It was nice that I could check-out late.

Lovely host. Large bottom floor of the house with everything you need including terrace in the sun. Kitchen facilities, comfy warm bed, big bathroom, space for parking. It was perfect for me.

The staff was awesome, willing to give us ideas for hiking. The room was really big. Great position for taking a ferry in the morning. We strongly recommend it.

Great View, really marvellous, from the sleeping room directly on the sea…. Super breakfast, super dinner, great manager (we asked for an upgrade and they gave us for a special price. Really appreciated).

The place is wonderful, a dream location in every season. I went there in the middle of winter with a friend, even though it’s more suited for a romantic getaway. It was December 10th, freezing cold with a snowstorm. There are no shops nearby, and my friend and I didn’t have a car. Despite this, the owners were incredibly kind and extremely accommodating, exceeding all expectations. In the evening, they went grocery shopping and asked us what we’d like, so we were able to enjoy a warm meal. The breakfast they leave in the igloo is truly abundant and could easily suffice as dinner as well. Inside the igloo, there’s a wood stove that creates a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. In winter, I recommend keeping it lit at all times, as temperatures drop quickly. Given the strategic location and the fact that you sleep literally under the stars, my friend and I took turns staying awake to try and catch a glimpse of the northern lights (and to keep the stove burning). Against all odds, despite the snowstorm, the sky cleared for a few minutes, and we managed to see a few faint lights. An incredible, dreamlike, magical experience. The next day, we were supposed to catch the bus at 12:00, but due to the snowstorm, it was delayed until 15:00. The owner was so kind as to let us stay in the igloo, as there were no new guests arriving that day. He restarted the stove for us and drove us to the bus stop, as it was bitterly cold. When the bus still hadn’t arrived after an hour, he came back to check on us. Just as we were getting into his car, the bus finally arrived. That day, we didn’t pay any extra fees, even though we had practically stayed in the igloo the entire day. I can’t wait to return in summer to enjoy the breathtaking views!

Skagakaia is a lovely place to stay in a beautifully unspoilt region. The setting, right beside the water, is stunning. Lone is an exceptionally kind and friendly host. She patiently answered all our many questions about the area and helped us decide where to walk. Her food is delicious!

Beautiful place and environment, the cabin very complete with everything you need for your stay. The owner/manager, very helpful at all times.

The house was in a quiet area between mountains and fields which was great for a walk in the evening. You could hear the birds and the sheep walking about. The host was very helpful and communicative and the access to the rooms was with a keypad which was very convenient. You get the whole second floor to yourselves along with a private entrance and terrace.The view from the terrace was incredible at the night! The rooms themselves were very clean and cozy, everything needed was there. Beds were incredibly comfortable. Definitely recommend.
