House of Ellie was fantastic. It is located at the end of a fjord so the anpartment and bedroom window looks across the fjord. We were there for almost midnight sun and Ellie set up chairs for us outside when we arrived. Spectacular views. It’s also located next to our favourite Tromso cafe. The room was very clean, extremely comfortable and had a fridge. Ellie was so helpful and very responsive to messages. We liked it so much that we’ve booked again for our return to Tromso in a few weeks.

Modern cabin with all the necesities. Cecilie and her husband were excellent hosts, and their cabin is highly recommended. The communication was excellent, and the directions were very helpful. There are many hikes into the mountains with the most amazing views. An ideal place to unwind and relax. The ultimate bonus was seeing the northern lights on 2 of the 3 nights we spent there.

I didn't expect that the apartment that I rent was that big. It is excellent and it face directly to the sea (west). The place is not totally isolated, there are some houses nearby. Still, you will need a car. The bed is okay, just the top bunk bed is squeaky. Other facility is also work like brand new. If you have the intention to catch the aurora, it will not be as easy as going out to your balcony and saw one. In most of the time, you will need to go to a slightly remote area. The balcony facing west when normally aurora spread from north to south. You can walk a bit in the neighbourhood but behind the apartment, there's a hill that will block the way. Again, it might not always happened likat what I describe. You must have your car and hunt the aurora to a dark area where there is no light. And, if you stay here, we are only talking about 2 to 10 Km away to find such location.

The villa’s location is truly exceptional — tucked away at the end of a serene fjord, it offers total privacy and a breathtaking terrace. The reality far surpasses the photos. Communication with the host was flawless. Even before our arrival, we received detailed information about where to shop, store hours, how to access the property — everything was perfectly organized. One of the highlights of our stay was the boat trip with the owner. He took us out on the sea, we went fishing together, and he even prepared a delicious meal for us right on the boat. He also recommended local places to eat — we ended up having the best fish soup in all of Tromsø. We wholeheartedly recommend this place. If you’re planning a trip to Tromsø, skip staying in the city. Choose Tromvik instead — just like we did — and experience the stunning views, the peaceful atmosphere, and the comfort this place has to offer.
