Wow, what a characterful and historic place! We really enjoyed our stay. The views from our balcony (& big windows in the room) towards the fjord were lovely. Breakfast was very good. We can recommend the nearby cafe (also run by the hotel), where we had delicious afternoon tea/coffee and home-made cakes, and also an excellent evening meal of Thai curry! The hotel has only recently been taken over by a new owner and new staff & we wish them all the best. They were so friendly and gave us lots of helpful information about the area, and also about Norwegian life.

Everything was perfect! The house is just renovated, very beautiful, close to the glacier and we felt so welcomed! I recommend a lot this place, a must visit.

The room was right on the fjord. It was basic with no running water but cute, quiet, and clean. There are shared showers and toilets, much like a North American campground. There was a small kitchen in the cabin, and there is a communal one with more facilities- including a microwave, which seems rare in Norway campgrounds. There was an amazing sauna with glass walls and a view of the fjord. It looks like a mirrored box, but you can see our from the inaide. You need to book it, but it was a lot of fun getting hot and then jumping into the freezing cold fjord water. The pizza sold at the front desk/cafe was also very tasty. There is no real wifi to speak of, so it you want to be connected bring you own data.

Overlooking the Luster Fjord and Feigum Waterfall, this waterfront inn is 30 minutes’ drive from Sogndal. It provides free WiFi and a surrounding garden with outdoor seating and a playground.

The view and the staff were amazing… I was blown away when the chef came out and personally informed me about the dishes that were to be prepared and served for dinner! He even recommended the different wines that pair nicely with each dish. It was a very intimate and comfortable place to stay. Made to feel very special!

The hotel is situated in a tiny picturesque village from the late 19th century by the Luster fjord, overlooking a fantastic view. It has Norway’s best breakfast with everything you may wish, and fantastic service. For extra luxury, enjoy a wonderful 4-course dinner prepared by some of our best chefs, followed by a drink and coffee in the garden. We stayed in one of the modern rooms, which has plenty of space and a nice porch on the lawn to enjoy the morning sun. This is a must see for everyone who just want to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape. It’s not cheap, but it’s with it.

Turtagrø Hotel has traditions dating back to the 1880s. This hotel is located 884 meters above sea level, at the foot of Vest-Jotunheimen.

This is a fantastic location with some of the more interesting hiking and climbing routes in Norway, near the Jotunheimen Nasjonalpark. We choose the accomodation in the "Swiss chalet" and this allow us to save a lot of money :-) without losing the magnificence of the place and additional services provided by the hotel like for example the very good dinner (one of the best we have in Norway). The Chalet is really beautiful and extremely functional. Clean and full of services, like the shower and the drying room.

We stayed 3 nights in a Hytter. The camping is nice and quiet, there is a playground for kids. The Hytter was quite big, well equipped and clean. We enjoyed the small terrace for dinners. We had breakfast a the restaurant one morning, it was GREAT, best breakfast we had in Norway and very good value for money. We should have done it every morning ! Supermarket very close if you cook your own dinner
