What a great place to stay. In the room is a paper bag inviting the guests to recycle by donating a piece of clothing to the less fortunate - which is brilliant! Within walking distance of the harbour, ferrys, buses, shops and restaurants. The manager was super helpful in giving great advice on attractions and things to do. Very quiet and comfortable.

We were even given our own flag to fly on national day, and invited to join in their celebrations. I went to Kristiansund primarily because it is so well...

I went to Kristiansund primarily because it is so well connected and I wanted to visit a small Norwegian town on my way to Trondheim. There is not much going on here, but it is still an interesting place to visit for sure. And make sure to take a ride on Sundbåten, it is rather lovely.

Maybe we missed something, but the city didn't have much of...

Maybe we missed something, but the city didn't have much of a vibe to it and seemed mostly a place for a pause on the way to somewhere else. The town is built on 3-4 islands and has a free water bus to carry you to the different parts, but there really doesn't feel like there is a "center" and the "pedestrian zone" in the main city (Kirkelandet) was deserted. The "old town" in Innlandet was quaint but was mostly residential with no restaurants. From the perspective of a "real" city not overrun with the day-trip cruiseboat hordes, it was a nice change, but it is not really scenic. Having been virtually destroyed in 1940, this is understandable (unless you are a fan of post-war construction)

I liked the location.

I liked the location. I did not like at all that the contact person was extremely lightly and did not answer my calls, and then did not respond to the problems, which were: the full trash can under the sink, the non-working TV with a broken socket and most of all the damaged door to the bedroom. When it closes, it gets out of the chute because it's sliding and you end up getting locked in, like it happened with us and you can't open it more. And the host, he doesn't even answer your phone or answer your messages. Extremely irresponsible person!!!

Wasn't in the city that much, drove to Veiholmen. But lots of nice architecture and interesting buildings. Ate Mexican food at 4K? Superb👍 Took us for a walk around the city. A nice city with lots of nightlife for everyone.

The center of Kristiansund didn't particularly impress us.

The center of Kristiansund didn't particularly impress us. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the boat trip to Grip Island. We were given a tour of the fishing village there and learned a lot of interesting information.

The town is very well suited for excursions to the surrounding area, for example to the Atlantic Road or Grip Island. Unfortunately, the town is deserted on weekends, and the tourist information office is also closed on weekends.

We really liked the location of the hotel. It's surrounded by the sea, hills, and forest, creating a very calm and beautiful setting. We stayed in a room on the second floor, with a balcony right above the sea. I could have spent the whole day sitting there, watching the small fish and jellyfish.

Best Location and very Central, free parking, Easy to find, 2 large bedrooms, specious living room and good size of bathroom, fresh and clean balcony and full equipped kitchen. If there was a waffle maker then it's a big Bonus. I would choose again for my next trip to Kristiansund.

The hotel looked as if it had been revamped so everything was very clean and new looking. The buffet dinner, normally something we would avoid, was very good. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast served in the morning had a great selection and was good quality.
