The town was just the right size, small enough to feel intimate but large enough to have everything we needed. We were 10 minutes away from the Pulpit Rock trailhead, which we hiked and had a great experience in doing so.

Excellent location, with a supermarket and other shops nearby. The apartment was fantastic...fully equipped and very close to the Preikestolen cliff. The host was very helpful. I recommend it 109%.

Ideal location for hiking to Preikestolen, and the reception staff were very kind in storing our luggage (we were traveling by motorbike) so we could hike up more easily. The breakfast was spectacular, very varied, and included in the price.

Excellent base for visiting the fjord if you have to trek to Preikestolen and Kjeragbolten. The town centre is not very big but there is everything you need, supermarket, restaurants and even some interesting things to visit like the old steelworks.

Staff not at all supportive and not trying to meet standard needs of hotel guests. Basically nobody in this hotel speaks sufficiently English. Breakfast selection does not match to the price charged. No air-condition which made the room extremely uncomfortable on a day with 28°C. Last but not least, the room and the breakfast buffet was invaded by hords of flys.

Functional and clean. Do book the sauna, very good value for money, the price stated is for the sauna not per person. Bring some tape bring as we taped the mosquito net around the door so we could sleep with the door little bit open. We are both breakfast and dinner at the hotel.

It was a brilliant stay at “Modern Apartment in the Harbour of Jørpeland”. Simply perfect! Great location, lovely atmosphere in the city, 3 min walk to 3 supermarkets. 12 min driving from the natural wonder of Norway - Pulpit Rock. I can without hesitation recommend this place.
