This is a very charming hotel close to the downtown. The rooms have decent sized beds and good sized washrooms. There is a bar fridge with drinks and a coffee maker provided. A steamer is included for ironing your clothes. The restaurant is amazing. We had an excellent dinner there. The breakfast buffet was also excellent. The elevator is large, unlike many places where we have stayed in Europe. Parking is available at the back of the building.

We loved everything about Villa Thorse! The location, neighbourhood, beds, kitchen - everything! I cannot even begin to describe the views and the location of this place. There were six of us and the villa was perfect for us. Bedrooms are upstairs and the sofa/bed for kids was downstairs. Bedrooms upstairs were a bit hot, but that's because we were there when it was five days of hot sun - in the middle of summer. Won't complain though, the weather was perfect for long walks around Drøbak. Oslo was close with a car and there was a ferry going to the near Oscarsborg fortress/museum island every hour from dusk till dawn. We were supposed to stay only a couple of nights at first, but decided to extend the visit to a week (before arriving). Best choice I've ever made :) There were so much to see and do, the week felt way too short. Never felt so sad to leave a place. Thank you for everything, Ellen, We WILL be back! :))

Could not rate this hotel and spa highly enough, value for money? More than! Everything from check in to (free late) check out was outstanding and the staff were exceptional with me and my family. Our room was upgraded for free and the breakfast was excellent. Special mention to Elizabeth for the outdoor sauna ritual and fjord swimming in the afternoon, a truly unforgettable experience.

great ambiance, rooftop spa is lovely, staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. Room was large and impeccably clean. Super comfy bed. Breakfast buffet was all fresh and had a mix of norwegian and international items

Beautiful building that tastefully mixes modern with antique. Fascinating art and antique furniture and beautiful terrace and there is a small sauna and games room. Beach is just over the road and the view is incredible. The hosts and staff were so kind and helpful. Free parking right outside. Great value for money too.

The room was nice and clean. Comfortable beds.

The room was nice and clean. Comfortable beds. We enjoyed reading in the liberary on 3 dr flood. A beautiful room. The park was huge and very interesting. We had lovely walks on the costal path to Hvitsten, Edvard Munch´s house and in the direction towards Drøbak. Very well marked paths. The parking was a litle confusing. How to leave the hotel parking where there was a closed gate.
