One of the main attractions of Hammerfest is the harbour, and this hotel was located in that area. We had a spacious studio type of room with two huge windows facing the harbour and the sea. Always something to watch! The beds were comfortable. We were visiting around midsummer when the sun doesn't set, but it was easy to block the light with curtains.

On a beautiful location offering views of both the harbour and the Sørøysund strait, is Scandic Hammerfest.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location with a great view (even when there are no reindeer grazing in front of your window as when we were there :-). The best breakfast we had during our trip.

The winter lake view was mesmerising. I could sit for hours watching it change with the weather and the twilight. The location was very walkable, easy to walk around town, only a few mins to the main street and local shops and supermarket. The property was undergoing renovation - almost completed but the kitchen and bathroom were functional. Laundry and sauna available on request to owner who lived upstairs with family.

The staff! The lady and gentleman at reception and in the restaurant were very open, sociable, willing to talk and actively provided information. Traveling as a tourist, we received such good tips.

Privat venue, where you could see "the owners fingerprint". We felt like being Janne's guests on spot. Nice location in the middle of nowwhere. Short distance to Hammerfest.
