Very nice stay on our roadtrip, even swam in the pool

Dating back to the 1860s, this hotel nerby the famous fishing river "Jølstra" is a 5 minutes walk from shoppingcenter`s, theatre and good restaurants.

The location was ideal as I could walk to the hospital where spouse was for emergency surgery, and felt my teens were safe in the cabin. Was able to book on extremely short notice and the lady at front desk was very kind and supplied quality linen for the well outfitted unit. Kitchen had everything we needed, including a very large fridge. The price was value for money and the Extra store was a very short walk. So glad we could stay here, it really saved our bacon when we found ourselves in a somewhat nebulous situation. Shout out for the hospital which provided great care and ...hospitality!

The location is very good and has parking place, it’s very convenient! The housemaster is very nice and kind, she has helped us once we put forward the question. Very good memory for living in this hotel!

Arrangements and breakfast were all good but note that the reception does not stay open late so some guests (who did not speak Norwegian nor English) arrived without knowing how to access their rooms. Also was building work going on so car park was unstable and one guest's motorbike fell over causing damage as the stand just sank into the surface. Finally the access road was blocked so if it is when others stay there just take the next turning and go round the block. Simple. Otherwise great place to stay - made good use of the laundry and drying facilities. Staff were great.

Good basic room. Nothing is open in the evening or morning and you let yourself in via a code. But the room was comfy, decent space and all you need for a night. Close to Spar and Bistro that is open in the evening. It was also very quiet with underfloor heating in the bathroom. Pound for pound it is decent for Norway. I'll stay again if I'm in the area.
