The breakfast was one of the best we had in Norway with very personal service. The table was ready for us with a variety of choices (not a buffet). The atmosphere of the entire property was quiet and relaxing; it felt very homey and welcoming. Finally, the staff was incredible and went out of their way to make sure there were options for my husband with some dietary restrictions. The dinner was excellent and we loved sitting and visiting with people from other parts of the world!

Comfortable aesthetic of Norwegian cabins/camping, stovetop, jug, kitchen utensils, barrel of clean water, power sockets and cleaning devices. Centralised showers are clean and powerful, basin of clean water at the back of reception while I waited. Staff immediately found my key and said "if there's anything you need just ask". I loved how everything in the cabin was organised, it made settling in after a hike extremely comfortable, safe and stress-free. I would highly recommend this peaceful space

Damn cruise ships - block the view and disgorge 1000's who monopolize the gondola.... hello cruisers, there are other people in the world you know - and we're not loud & obnoxious - come all the way from New Zealand to hear loud & obnoxious - sheesh .... Americans & aussies - not all, but enough .. how do you manage to even wipe your own ar*es Other than that - utterly utterly great place indeed .... AND do the Golden Train - OMG spectacular - literally jaw dropping scenery

The place is just great, the environment is beautiful, the house had everything you need, nothing was missing. One night was too short to fully enjoy the surroundings and we would definitely like to stay here again someday😊❤️

Unfortunately, it was very rainy so we could not take part in any activities. Although it was noted online that boat tours were available this was not the case -apparently it had been a failed enterprise. The train trip into Andalsnes was spectacular and worth the visit.

The beautiful fjord town, with the turquoise blue Rauma...

The beautiful fjord town, with the turquoise blue Rauma River winding through on one side and the towering peaks on the other. It is very well connected by train to Oslo and by bus to Trollstigen and Molde airport. It is suitable as a campsite for vacations and as a hub for trips to other places.

If outdoor activities, mountains and mountain activities are...

If outdoor activities, mountains and mountain activities are your thing, then Åndalsnes is the best place to be. On the other hand, there is nothing to see or do in the town. The most exciting part is perhaps the Tindesenteret and the train station. The restaurant offer is also limited so it is perhaps easiest to cook yourself, or settle for take-away Thai, pizza or hamburgers at Esso.

Beautiful location and the train ride there.

Beautiful location and the train ride there. However, there weren't many restaurants to choose from. We would have used the luggage storage at the station. But that wasn't possible as you had to use coins, which we didn't have. Been all over town (including the bank) That wasn't possible! So we took an earlier train, and missed a planned hike.

Nice and modern hotel with amazing views to the mountains and river! The hotel is located in commercial center in the 3rd floor and there's no reception so the check in and out is done by a machine in entrance to the center. There's an elevator. The room was spacious and well design Will come back again!
