The "Parken" hotel might look a big like a klutz from the outside - but inside, it's very modern, airy, spacious and comfortable. The room had a wonderful view of the ocean - how much more can you ask for? The location is superb - centrally located as can be, anything within max. 10 minute walk. There's a parking garage under the hotel (with direct access to the lobby - very convenient with heavy suitcases!). Breakfast is plentiful, varied and very tasty - as always in Scandinavia. The staff was both professional and very friendly and approachable at the same time. All in all : this is really hard to top !

It was convenient for my appointment at Moa, Spjelkavik. The reasonably-priced room had a decent work desk and a pleasant ambience. The buffet supper (Mondays to Thursdays), included in the room rate, was an unexpected bonus. The breakfast was excellent. You avoid having to drive into the town centre, where the hotels are filled with tourists.

The house is really nicely furnished and well equipped with everything you need. The lounge and bed were both very comfortable and there’s nice views from the deck. Ideally you would have a car as it’s a little way to the centre of town. Highly recommended!
